Strange Fit
I just bought two pairs of these shorts in the same size. One fit me fine, although they do not look flattering. The second pair seemed to be a size smaller even though the tag said it was the same size as the first pair. The cut on these shorts and another pair I bought this year seem to be for a woman with a very straight figure. They are not designed for curves. I am very disappointed as my absolute favorite ll bean shorts seem to have been discontinued.

I was very excited to order these shorts. I thought about them for a long time as they are very expensive but finally decided to treat myself. I’ve worked hard to lose over 50lbs and thought the size 12 would be loose but they are very snug. They do stretch out after wearing but, because they are linen, become extremely wrinkly. I’m keeping them because I’m hoping to loose a bit more weight. Hopefully they’ll fit better then

Too small
I had bought the pants equivalent back in the spring and they were a little snug for a size 12. However, these shorts are even tighter. Like someone else mentioned, go up at least 1 size if not 2.

I bought these in two colors and had to size up 2 sizes from my normal size 10 (for pants) 12 (for shorts). Like others mention, they are snug through the hip and upper thigh area. Fabric and style is what I would expect from LL Bean. They wash well.

Extremely Small
Cute but mis-sized. I bought the size 8 which is my size and can barely get them over my thighs. Trying to pawn them off on my daughter who is a size 4 but they aren’t her style.
