Penny Loafer Allagash were MUCH BETTER QUALITY>
Okay but not the quality of your previous "penny loafer" style. Quality took a "major hit" when you made this shoe.

Bring back Allagash mocs without any eyelits
I have worn the simple slip on no eyelits/leather ties mocs for years. I went to order yet another pair and cannot find the mocs without eyelits and ties ? What happened to them ?

Soft and easy on the feet
Within a week, the Allagash Handsewn Mocs felt like not wearing shoes. Except they kept my feet drier in the rain, And the tread gave my feet that extra traction needed on wet surfaces. Plus they look great with the many colors of my LLBean pants and jeans.

Shoes
For some reason, my heels continue to slip out of the shoes, even with the addition of heel inserts. Several years ago, I had the same problem with a similar Allagash Moc.

Shoe can"t be broken in properly Too stiff
Over the years have been a L L Bean loyal customer since the store was above the post office. In my opinion and that of some other folks that I know, the more necessary outsourcing results in the lack of quality control. We feel that the quality of many products has been going downhill. These Mocs are so stiff that they are not pleasant to walk around in. Will not ever be broken in like a good quality shoe with properly processed leather .. Size was correct. Color was correct. Summary. Leather as stiff as a board that even Casco Bay salt water will not soften up
