complete disappointment
I purchased this after wearing out the last 3 in 1 jacket I bought 20+ years ago. That one had a fleece jacket, primaloft jacket and a gortex shell. That was the first time I had ever owned a winter coat that actually fit. This jacket is way too long in the sleeves. the jacket cuff is too big and the velcro is too short and flops around. I ordered the Petite small. The jacket falls below the hip and the hood is too big also. It's such a shame, I love LL Bean because their clothes fit so well. Not anymore. I did like the color though.

Nice Jacket, but Hood Too Large
Item was returned as the hood was much too large for my small head and unfortunately is not detachable from the jacket itself.

Wonderful warm jacket
I love this jacket. It is light in weight but very warm. We haven't had subzero temperatures yet, but I've worn it in temperatures between 30 and 35 and it was quite warm. I did have a sweater on underneath. The silky nature of the inner jacket makes it easy to get the jacket on over sweaters. It's very comfortable. I got the lavender color and find it very stylish. There are many convenient pockets. I previously had a LLBean 3-in-1 jacket (with a fleece inner jacket) and it lasted close to 30 years before the zipper and part of the hem gave out. I expect this one to last as long.

Need better colors
I’ve been waiting for over a year for better colors to come out. Navy, green, teal would be great. The mens version has a beautiful sage green. These colors are not it. This coat has all the features I’m looking for. I was really hoping for a different color option this season. Still waiting.

Offer better color choices, please!
This is a great jacket for skiing- useful pockets, hood fits nicely over ski helmet, and other useful features for a day on the slopes. I really want to love it- BUT - the color choices are just awful. Ughhh. Come on, LLBean -how about offering this is a nautical navy? Or dark loden, deepwater blue, bright mariner?? Please consider! Just can't give it a 5 stars because of this.

Highly recommend this jacket
This is the best jacket I have ever owned ! I do a lot of winter hiking and layers are a must . I start off with the jacket intact then drop the outer layer as it warms up . I was a bit skeptical that it would be easy to take and put back on the outer shell but it was super easy . I love all the pockets which are in perfect spots in the jacket . The jacket is comfortable and warm hiking below 20 degrees.
