Perfect Fit with Somewhat Flexible Waist
I recently lost weight and needed to buy new pants. I bought 2 pair of these chinos, in Dark Ash and Dark Loden. They fit really well because the waist is somewhat flexible. I really love the soft fabric. It is heavier than most chinos, sort of like denim jeans. When I washed them I dried them on ultra low. They turned out perfect with no wrinkles. I just needed to hang them up. They didn't need to be ironed. The metal button used to close the waist is much better than just having a button like on some pants. These pants have 8 beltloops, which is great. Notice that many men's pants these days have manufacturers skimping by only having 5 beltloops, which is far from adequate. A note on the colors. What I received is very close to how the color appeared on my screen, but the names of the colors are a bit misleading. Dark Ash to me implies that it will be grayish. Instead it is a darker brown. Maybe a name like "Forest Ground" or some such would be more accurate. The Dark Loden is pretty close in reality, although in dimmer light it looks somewhat brownish instead of green. I am fine with the colors but just wanted to mention that the colors do shift a bit in different light conditions. Overall, I am very happy with these high quality pants.

Nice Closure
The button is riveted with a barrel shaft for easy use as opposed to a sewn on button, which is difficult to use. Permanent press would be nice.

I like the fabric. It has some weight to it. The fit is good. Normal BMI.
I don't care much for the eight belt loops, especially the two in the back. I keep missing one, only to discover it later in the day. I also object to the "Side button tabs at waistband." If you buy your pants with the right waistline, then you don't need these. They are a needless cost that should have been avoided.
Still, the pants are good.

Pants for every need.
Very comfortable. An appearance that works even when doing chores or having a dinner out. Much more flexible than jeans or some of the other more utilitarian choices.

The perfect material
A great product with soft but heavy material that breathes relaxation. I like the button cinch option on the waistband. Only suggestion: Add colors- I have all four but need (1) light grey and (2) British khaki, then you have it perfected!

Field Chinos
Like the men’s Field Chinos. Great color, look, texture and feel. However, it think they are a little roomy and prefer a tighter fit in the seat.
