I like the pants. I had to have the legs shortened. Why can't Bean have lengths shorter than 28"?

Good Looking and Virtually Care Free Pants
Very happy with the comfortable fit. I wish the pocket was a dark material with dark pants. If I am not careful the light color may show as a light color triangle if the waist is pulled too far. They wash well and remain virtually wrinkle free.

These are nice pants. But in they are relaxed fit. So either you can grow into them. Or better, buy the right size or slightly smaller.

Failure to make a size for me
Excellent pants but LL Bean failed to make a size for me. I have a 32 waist and 30 inseam. The smallest available is 34Wx30. The 34 waist is way too big and the 30 inseam is at least an inch too long. The length of pants shown in all catalogs should be measured from the top of the belt loop to the bottom tip of the leg, and you should say that in the text. Why? Because some pants have a longer rise from the crotch to the top of the belt loop. So a buyer can't tell for sure if the length given is right for him. But if all catalog companies used the same measure from the the top of the belt loop to the bottom tip of the leg, the buyer could always tell.
