On search of replacement poles
I’ve had this four person dome tent since I was hiking A LOT in the early 2000’s. I was amazed that it is still in perfect condition when I got it out for my grandchildren to play in. EXCEPT for the poles! Which I am discovering reading these reviews that they have still not improved and I remember the only reason I stopped using it. Where is everyone getting their replacement poles? I remember trying to buy them way back when from LL Bean and obviously gave up after not being able to get them 20+ years ago. Any suggestions-on Replacements?

4-person dome tent nice and roomy for ttwo
We have had this tent for years and have used it in all kinds of locations and weather. Our preferred system now is to set it up in a lean-to for privacy and weatherization (although with the full-length fly we have never been wet).

Decent tent for car camping
Good tent for car camping! Easy to set up and take down. Seems to withstand wind satisfactorily and interior is roomy. Tent poles could be better, appears that they will bend easily.

Bent Poles
Like many other reviewers, my poles also bent the first time I used the tent. The tent is otherwise great quality, but looks lopsided and a bit embarrassing. The defect makes me sad because up until now, LL Bean had been my go-to for 100% reliable gear and clothing. My previous LL Bean 4-person dome tent lasted me 20 years! I'll be buying my next tent elsewhere.

Dollar general type of quality
As every other review states the poles are atrocious and bend after one night.
The fabric quality is horrendous as well and very susceptible to rips, tears, and leaks that a wal mart Coleman will outlast for 1/3 of the price.
LL Bean making terrible quality tents and selling for fortune prices.
Go to wal mart
Have AD 2 and AD 4 both are the same

Tents poles break
As other reviews have mentioned the tent poles break easily. Tried to replace (at my own expense) but they do not even carry replacement poles in stock anymore.

Terrific, but . . .
This tent is perfect for my needs. Easy to set up except for one thing - the poles. They bent the first time despite my adherence to the instructions. I bent them back into shape which lasted for a couple more times. At some point they will fail. Very disappointing for an otherwise nice tent. I can reccomend it with a caveat about the poles.

Great medium sized tent.
Super easy set-up by my 14 year old grandson. It weathered a violent wind and rainstorm in Maine just fine. Excellent quality.
