Wonderful Coat
What a wonderful, heavy, warm winter coat. Made a lengthy, bitterly cold spell extremely comfortable. Best purchase I made in several years.

Worth its weight in gold
Great parka for the WI winter. I love the fact that that it has so many pockets to store things, and I feel like I’m still discovering new pockets to this day, although it’s been more than 2 months LOL. Build quality is solid, and the jacket does have a bit of heft, but it’s not terrible. Although the jacket is marketed. as a hunting parka, I’d say that it can be worn as an everyday jacket for those sub 30f temperatures, it looks very stylish paired with a scarf. Highly, highly recommend.

I'm 6' 1". My weight is 190 lbs. I bought the regular medium size in the loden color.
I wear a medium tall bean flannel shirt. The Maine Guide Parka fits me perfectly. I could wear a light sweater under the Parka but not a heavy sweater. I field tested it right away on a 2 block walk to the grocery store at minus 10 C (15 F).
The inside cuff at the bottom of the sleeve is a great feature. The top of my gloves fit nicely under the sleeve.botyom.
The only improvement, which others have noted , would be a 2-way zipper.
In my view this coat is a great value for the price. It will get far more use from it than from my long dress coat made of Austrian boiled wool.

The BEST winter coat.
Bought it at TallXL as a man who is 6'4" at 242lbs with long arms and a belly that measures 102cm at the time of writing this. This coat is the best. Wool. Nice length. Great pockets. I'll wear this until the end lol

Durable! Nine seasons of wear on this coat
I bought one of these wool parkas in 2016 it still shows minimal signs of wear. With a sweater under it I can wear it in single digits with a strong breeze blowing. I concur with everyone wishing for a two-way zipper, but apart from that, it's a winner.

Great coat!
I’ve had this coat for 3 years now and I absolutely love it. It’s warm and it has so many pockets. The only feature that could make this coat better would be a hood.

Extremely warm.
Heavy and thick. You don't need layers with this coat. Sizing seems to run a little towards the large side. And yes, the pockets come sewn shut just like on a new suit. Anyone down to about the age of 8 can pull the thread out and open up the pockets.
