Good, comfortable barn jacket...as expected!
The jacket was backordered so I just received it the beginning of November, just in time for a trip south. It fits as well over a sweater and shirt. I really like wearing it. My only critique is the pockets. I'd love if they were just a little bigger, and there was an inside chest pocket.

Great coat!
I love this coat! It fits perfectly and is warm, it is the perfect inbetween coat for fall. It fits the bill between sweaters and winter coats.

You need this in your wardrobe
Everyone needs this in their closet! I reach for this jacket the most. It’s versatile for warmer and cold snaps, and I can easily wear a sweatshirt underneath. It also still has a feminine flare so I don’t feel super boxy.

Well made coat
Quality coat! Love the lining, and it was fairly water repellent when caught in a mist last week. I'll miss a hood as most of my coats come with a hood but it's so cute and warm I will sacrifice.

Adirondack Barn Coat
The quaity of thie barn coat is excellent. I like so much about it after I purchased one as a gift, that I purchased 2 others for myself. However, the style was changed from a traditional hem line to split curved seams on the side. The style was very unattractive on me. The other change was the closure had both a zipper and snaps whcih I did like even better than the original which had buttons. If LLBean brings back the basic coat style hem, I will purchase again.

Good autumn/spring coat
This is my third barn coat from LL Bean, so I obviously like it. It's warm enough for temperatures into the '30s, as long as you're wearing something warm underneath, and can still be worn in temperatures in the 50s with just a shirt underneath. I especially love the hand warmer pockets which are perfectly placed. I don't believe the style has changed in the decades LL Bean has been making it, which is a shame because we're all carrying phones now, and none of the pockets are big enough to secure a phone. An interior phone pocket would be a significant improvement. I also find the sleeves to be a bit slim fitting, so that when you wear something bulky underneath they can be tight. Otherwise good moisture resistance and comfortable to wear.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I've been eying this coat for years now and finally bit the bullet. I was up in Freeport and tried it on in store in a size Small and loved it, but decided the Small Petite was what I was after. I'm 5'1 and 130lbs and the regular smalls arms and length were a bit longer than I wanted. I could have gone down to a XS but wanted room for layers. Overall the Small Petite fit perfectly. My favorite feature is the breast pockets. They're at the perfect height to allow you to comfortably keep your hands warm.
