Rated 5 out of 5 by TheNeneBean from Never Taking Them Off I loved these at first sight but when I tried to order they were sold out in my size online. I called customer service and they were wonderful and tracked some down at a store in New York. The New York store was also wonderful and took my order by phone and put them in the mail right away. The sizing guidance is spot on. The 10'' is high enough to make the boot comfortable and fashionable. The marsh brown is a fatigue greenish brown and very attractive. My husband saw them on me and immediately decided he wanted some for himself. They are a wonderful, American made, boot and I am so so so happy LLBean worked so hard to help me get some. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathy from Most Comfortable Winter Boot I usually wear a size 7M and I ordered the 6M and they are perfect. This is my second pair of Bean Boots. My first pair were the original Bean Boots and were my go to for snow shoeing or when I needed something waterproof etc. My daughter fell in love with them as well and I ended up giving them to her. So this is my replacement pair. I went with these because I loved that they were black/black. And I will say even though they feel perfect with a regular sock I did wear thick socks with my other pair and they were fine. So I recommend ordering a size down if you are on the fence unless you want a lot of extra room. Highly recommend Bean Boots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2dogsarenough from Great boots! I love these boots! I got the denim color. They are slim, lightweight and supple, like wearing socks. I feel the ground when I'm walking, which is good. I wear them with or without an extra pair of socks depending on the temperature outside. Their casual "Bean-style" is just what I am looking for when I wear jeans which is almost all the time. And they look great with a corduroy or denim skirt, too. Very comfortable from the start. The canvas top is not waterproof as I found out the first time I wore them out in a field in the rain. I called Bean and they told me what to get to waterproof them, I may do that, or not. Not sure. They will get you through the 1" puddles, tho.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shiggy from Love these boots! I've been wearing some form of Bean boots for the past 40 years. This is my first pair that is not leather and is not brown (I bought the black). If you love Bean boots, you will love these. The black color gives them a different look. A bit less traditional, a bit more urban. The canvas upper is lighter and I plan to treat them with TEK waterproofing spray to help them repel moisture. They are warm, though not as warm as the seriously toasty lined ones. They also run large around the leg, so if you have wide ankles these are for you. On me the laces pull both sides to meet, which my other leather pairs don't even come close to doing. If you are looking to expand your Bean boot selection - these may just be the ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by StephanieF from Cool Boots I haven't decided whether to keep these or not even though I love the look and they fit very well as recommended a size down. The ONLY reason I would not keep these is that I am waiting for a pair of the Anniversary Hunting boots to come back in stock to choose. I was looking for a pair of lighter weight water/snow proof boots and these fit the bill. Oh and I can drive in them because they aren't hugely chunky as many wet weather boots are. The LL Bean staff in both the store and online are fabulous. I will keep one pair or the other and highly recommend them! Thanks LL Bean ....again

Rated 5 out of 5 by WinterLovingCatOwner from A seriously practical boot that looks fantastic Writing this to give a shout out to the two previous reviewers who wear a 6.5 shoe size and wrote that a size 6 in this style would be fine. Given the size recommendation, I thought a 6 might be too big for someone who wears a 6.5, but it's perfect with medium or even fairly lightweight socks. After talking with a customer service person about durability (is the waxed canvas really going to be waterproof? Yes, indeed. She owned a pair and could speak from experience), I ordered these in black in a 6. These will not be heavy on your feet: when the box came, it felt empty. I've had them for about a month and a half, worn them in torrential rain and mud, and I've stayed dry, fashionable, and never feel weighed down. I checked "true to size" because the 6 does work for a 6.5 and is not too small or too large.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fryeislander48 from Love Love My New Signature L.L. Bean Boots! The Signature Women's 10" Waxed-Canva Maine Hunting Boots are my absolute favorite! I love the black color and waxed-canvas. They fit amazingly well. I normally wear a size 6 1/2 and I ordered a 6 and they fit perfect! And the best thing besides the look and the fit is that they are so comfortable! And they can be worn all year long! Great for all 4 seasons!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TeeNC from Awesome, Can't Wait to Wear! I was stalking the website to see when these boots would start selling. I can't explain the joy of when I opened the box and unwrapped them. They look great online, but even better in person! "Vintage look" is a great description. The marsh brown color is amazing. There were a few creases in the waxed canvas from where the boots were folded over some in the box, which add to the look. I'm a true size 10. I got these in a size 9 and they feel great on my feet with lighter weight socks. I have a pair of the Bison boots in a size 10, which were slightly too big, but I took the advice of another size 10 poster and added shearling insoles. Now, the fit is much better, and the boots are warmer with the insoles and heavier socks. My boots were delivered a day earlier than first noted - also a plus.
