Rated 5 out of 5 by Wintergirl from SUPER COZY I LOVE this flannel!!! The chamois fabric is extremely soft, thick, comfortably warm and the blue color is just beautiful!! I saw a review stating this fabric is thinner than previous versions- if this fabric was heavier I think it would be too heavy. This shirt is super comfortable and roomy / feminine but not boxy. The arm length could be about an inch longer but honestly the sleeves aren’t too short- just my preference. The length is perfect. I don’t care for any of the other colors but I’ll definitely buy more when new colors come out- I’m SO glad I bought it despite some poor reviews- this shirt is definitely a favorite!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by abcCOshopper from Petites beware I purchased the Storm teal in xs petite. I go back and forth with petite sizes because they are often shorter in length than I like; but I wanted a better overall fit and sometimes sleeve length in regular sizes is way too long and sloppy looking. However, the sleeves in this shirt-uncuffed-barely come down to my wrists! I can’t imagine the length when I go to wash it! I think this is destined to become my , even more petite, daughter’s. So, I would recommend the regular size if you are petite. The color is beautiful and it is a nice medium weight. Disappointed, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rindle from Great Shirt This is a heavy, warm, well made flannel shirt. You can wear it as a light jacket over a long sleeved t shirt, or just as is. I am 5’8” tall, not skinny, not overly heavy, nothing petite about me, just average. I ordered a size large, like I almost always do with LLBean, and it fits just fine. The arm length is perfect, the sleeves aren’t too tight, the length is like most Bean shirts, it falls at hip. It’s a practical, attractive, straight forward, no frills, heavy, cotton plaid shirt and looks just like it does in the picture. It’s ready to climb on your horse with you, take a hike in the high desert or pine trees, or take a walk on a winter beach in January. If it’s really cold, you could probably fit a down jacket over it. I like it a lot and I recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sillygirl from Nice and warm! The heritage chamois shirts are a thick flannel and are very warm. I first purchased a size medium and it fit perfectly, but with no room to layer. So I backtracked and purchased in size large...awesome flannel shirt. Boxy, yes, but its meant to be. The colors offered are amazing and the quality is befitting LLBean. I ordered three, in three prints, and want to order a solid colored one also. I buttoned it up, washed in cold water, laid it flat to dry, and smoothed out the few wrinkles. Haven't had to iron. I love the winter cause I can wear my flannel shirts!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kootenai1 from I like it. I have three Heritage plaid shirts in different plaid designs. First I ordered one in Olive which is red , I liked the color and fit so decided to order two more. I got the light olive which is green and the Blue Buffalo check. When the shirt is buttoned down it has a gaping space between the buttonholes. On the olive shirt is between 3 buttons. I was hoping that after washing it would vanish. It didn't, but I still like the shirt. On the light olive which is a green shirt the gaping spaces are on almost every single buttonhole side. I have not tried the Blue Buffalo check shirt yet. It's very noticeable. I don't like the way it looks. I believe the reason for it is after sewing and ironing the material is stretched out. Otherwise the shirt is very well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AnotherBlackSheep from Classic Comfort When I was a teenager in the 90's I wore a hand me down Chamois Shirt from my father. It was too large, but I loved the warmth and softness. No flannel can come close in quality. I'm glad I found this new version of the classic! The small size fits my shoulders and arms perfectly, but it is not fitted in the body. This is the classic cut and as I believe it was intended. Looks great paired with fitted pants and boots. Causal, but not as sloppy as a sweatshirt. Worth the investment - will last 10 years or more with proper care!

Rated 3 out of 5 by AZshopper from Not a real chamois shirt I bought this and the Freeport flannel for myself. Several things on this shirt are better than the Freeport-the stitching, buttons, pockets and finish are just better quality. The problem I have with it is that it’s not a true chamois shirt like the men’s shirt is. I had a chamois shirt 20 years ago and it was like the men’s - a thick flannel or almost felted shirt. This shirt is more a thick woven material and is great if that’s what you’re expecting but I wasn’t.

Rated 3 out of 5 by skyeshopper from Plaid Chamois I like the color olive, which is actually more of a cranberry. The feel and weight of this shirt is excellent. The description is off, it is not slightly fitted it is a relaxed fit making it very boxy. I have broad shoulders so I wouldn't be able to go down a size. The stitching around the shoulders is sloppy both outside and inside the shirt. I wish that they wouldn't make women's shirts with two large breast pockets, I find it makes the shirt too masculine.
