Rated 4 out of 5 by Fifi from Serves My Purpose I am in my 70s and need trekking poles to walk. This bag has become my pocketbook. It holds all my stuff, it's lightweight, it's sturdy, and it doesn't slide off my shoulder as I walk along. It has a hook for my keys so I can find them quickly. It has several pockets for storing items I want to be able to get my hands on easily, e.g. cell phone, sunglasses, lipstick. It's not too big, but big enough if I want to add a book or binoculars or a bag lunch. I wish it had a longer waistband strap. I think it was designed for a kid, not a plump old lady. But I manage OK nevertheless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MartyL from Well made and good size. The sling pack is well made and a very nice size. I used it for my purse for a couple of weeks, but then went back to my crossbody bag because I didn’t like having it on my back when I’m in a store. It will be great for traveling and hiking trips, though. It has a good place for a water bottle and a small secure pocket for your phone. And two other very roomy places for all your necessities. The stow away pocket was hard for me to find, but once I did, it stowed away fairly easily so it will be great to pack in my suitcase to use while on my trip. The only improvement I would make is to add a small handle at the top to carry it easily for a few minutes when you don’t want to put it on your back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by EricInMaryland from Waist strap far too short Remember in the movie Shrek when on-stage he tells Prince Charming "I like your leotard. Do they come in a man's size ?" ... yeah. It's just like that. I bought the bag to sling over my shoulder to bike to work, to hold my bike lock, cell phone, etc. I need the waist strap to keep it slung in place. But the strap won't work if you have more than about a 30" waist. Certainly it has other uses (the airport is a good one), but I purchased it for my bike ride. I need a strap extender, if LL Bean makes such.

Rated 5 out of 5 by naturephotographer from Just What I Wanted! I bought this Sling Pack to use while volunteering for the National Park as a watershed Stewart. It held two bottles of water in a ice pack, bird Book, a snack and small binoculars. I plan to use while flying to hold my wallet, change, glass case and more while going through security.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chrix from Excelllent... but I love this pack and gave it 5 stars even though I can think of one improvement. It would be nice if it had a loop handle at the top to hang it up. Some of the larger packs do have a loop. I have dogs and one that likes to chew, so the first thing I do when I come in the house is hang up my bag. The bag sometimes falls off the hook if I hang it by the shoulder strap. Love it though and am about to order a second one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lounger999 from Great for Day Trips I bought this pack just before a trip to Niagara Falls. It was perfect. I was able to stow a rain jacket, snacks, extra camera batteries, cell phone & large bottle of water (in the front mesh), with space to spare. I put our passports in it's internal stowaway pocket for safe keeping. I didn't use the waist strap, but that is just my personal preference. It was very comfortable to wear. I would definitely recommend this pack.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CalifGirlinNC from straps are too thin for comfort I wanted to love this pack, but I could not. There are pockets, lots of pockets - one that fit my sunglasses or iPhone XR (barely). One with a velcro closure for keys and snacks (key attachment inside), one large zip with stowaway zippered pocket. A mesh pocket on the outside for a water bottle and straps for a rain jacket. The problem happened when I loaded my usual stuff for a hike. The straps were not comfortable and I was constantly adjusting them. FYI: LLBean did address a previous issue with the addition of a loop-like hanger (along with a 2nd logo). However, the straps were a breaking point for me. I'd rather have more substantial/padded straps than the ability to stow this pack in a small zippered bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShelleB from Great small pack This smaller sling pack is perfect for day hikes. I have a slightly larger L.L. Bean pack, but sometimes it just seems too much when doing a day hike. I like the outside mesh pocket for holding a water bottle and the inside zipper pocket for personal items. I also like the sling and the option for making a nice fit. I know I’ll get a lot of use out of this item
