Comfy shoes,
Comfortable with plenty of room in the toe area. Nice tread pattern. Bought up a 1/2 size as my 11 1/2 regular size near the margin. Bought a size 12 and that fit great. Use then as my everyday shoes.

Plan on break-in period.
I use these hikers as an every day sneaker. Very comfortable and well ventilated so my feet don't get too hot. It took a couple weeks to break them in so it was easy to loosen the laces and leather near the tongue so easy off and easy on, but still allowing snugness for support around the top of my foot when wearing them.

Update to my review on 8/6/25 (Wide is not wide)
In my previous review I noted that the shoes were well-made but didn't fit because they weren't wide. I exchanged them for a larger size (went from 12.5W to 13W), which fit well enough (not great) for me to keep since I plan to use them only when doing yard work - not for hiking. I know that several other reviewers have mentioned width as being a problem, so I hope that LL Bean redesigns these shoes to have a proper toe-box for wide feet.
