Different Design, Same Comfort and support!
I was very disappointed and afraid when they updated the mountain classic sneakers design as I have trouble finding shoes that suit me due to my flat feet. However, As usual L.L. Bean has blown me away with my expectations once again and I will continue to buy them as the new design still meets my comfort and support levels for my flat feet. These are the reasons I continue to support and come back to L.L. Bean.

A comfortable sneaker
Bought these for exercising. They are light weight, very comfortable, and true to size. So far they are standing up well. The only "issue" is that I am not used to the large profile sole and have had the heel catch on stair treads when going down stairs.

Love the retro style and modern comfort
I was originally interested in the Comfort Walkers for their style, but the 1985's offered much more support and the style I was looking for. I did add the Happyfeet Trailblazer insole to give me more cushion and support, but now I choose these as my every day shoe.

Comfortable, light, and a bit dressy sneaker
The 1985 Mountain Classic Sneakers fit me very well. They are comfortable, and light weight. I bought them for a Senior exercise class, but find I am now wearing them more often as a comfortable casual shoe. So far they are standing up very well.
