We created this Boat and Tote crossbody bag in celebration of our iconic tote--a new twist on an old favorite. Made in Maine using the same heavyweight canvas as the original, with the same extra-durable construction details and a handy removable shoulder strap. Make it your own by adding a custom monogram; we can embroider a name, initials or a favorite phrase in a wide selection of colors.

Bought this as a Mother’s Day gift for my mum. I had it embroidered with her name and added 2 bag charms (a dachshund and a strawberry). Perfect & personalized - a great cross-body bag option.

Worst product I’ve ever bought from LL Bean
I’m going to go against the flow here and only give this bag 2 stars (and even then I hovered over 1 star). First of all, the material is incredibly stiff. I’ve tried washing it with fabric softener, but that didn’t help. Secondly, there’s no outside pockets and only one small inside zippered pocket, so everything falls to the bottom in an heap and it’s hard to find things. Thirdly, the zipper is so stiff and hard to use that I end up leaving the bag unzipped, which kind of defeats the purpose when you’re travelling with a wallet, phone, and travel docs. And lastly, the stitching is terrible - you can actually see through the seams on the bottom and on the handles - I’ll have to stitch and reinforce the seams if I keep the bag. This was a complete waste of money. I also bought a crossbody sling bag, and that’s been fantastic - will probably donate this bag to a second-hand store and use the sling bag.

Practical small tote
A sweet little tote, I can pack my lunch into it and wear it with the cross-body strap as I ride my bike in to work. It fits my food and Klean Kanteen bottle nicely, with a bit of space left over. (It is also quite sturdy.)
I do wish there were more solid colors to select from, and I wish there was an exterior patch pocket between the front straps. Still, it's nice, and I am keeping it. I've wanted a small, zipper top tote I could use with my bike for a long time. I am happy to finally have one.

I love this boat and tote bag. The quality is there and well made and will last for a long time. I love that it zips up for protection. I love the long shoulder strap. I have been using it as my everyday purse. I love the little pocket on the inside.
