great jacket until you need to wash it
This is the best winter jacket I have ever had - right up until I had to wash it. Machine wash and dry - what a joke - it sits at the bottom of the washer a sodden mass - detergent not rinsed out and will not spin the water out - I will have to have it professionally washed. The washer is a Maytag and it handles everything else just fine, including all the other ll bean jackets I have.

Jacket if you are a small size large
This jacket is on the small side of large. The last jacket I bought from LlBean was bigger and fit better. It’s warm but not as warm as my other. If you have broad shoulders you might want to size up

Buy this lightweight but very warm jacket!
I replaced my old winter jacket with this, and it is perfect! It is very warm (removing snow from my car in 20-degree weather), yet it is lightweight and does not feel as though you have on a "heavy" winter coat.

Did not like Color
I LOVE this jacket! Great styling, 3 season weight, quality fabrics and hardware, perfect length, love having a hood. Nice shaping and not boxy. However the pink color is just too dreary and too dusty. I've been waiting for a cheerful, medium pink color (but not too bright or neon and not burgandy or red) and that's not the pale lavender color either. And it would be even more perfect if it had a two-way zipper for ease in driving. I have had the winter warmer coat in deep purple that I have had for years and years and I still get compliments on it! So I hope next season I will get my pink color.
