Not happy
Handle ripped after three weeks of use. Very inconvenient to have to send back for a new one and finding another bag for my daughter to use in the meantime. I had one of these in the early 2000s used all 4 years of high school. It had no issues what so ever. It’s not made like they used to be.

Boomerang Backpack
This is the second time I purchased this bag. My son loves it. He says it is the perfect size and has just enough compartments for all his stuff to remain organized. He first used it from grade 6-9. While the bag was in great shape, the water bottle netting on the sides ripped so I forced him to get a new one. He selected the same one in the same color again :-)

Personalization needs improvement
The quality of this backpack is excellent and just as I remember from 30 years ago. The issue, however, is with the personalization. I ordered three backpacks, and all three arrived with very poorly done embroidery. I wondered if I was being too picky, so I asked my social media followers, and the overwhelming response was that the stitching was not up to the standard you would expect for the price. L.L.Bean sent me three replacements, and while two of them were significantly better, the third still looks poorly done.

Quality has diminished
I bought the 37L Deluxe backpack for my grandson a few weeks ago. He has had it for 10 days and already the side pouch for water bottle is coming apart at the top. I have 6 LLBean backpacks and 4 of them are from the 1990’s. The 5th is the 24L I purchased in 2021. The first 5 are still in perfect condition after years of use. This one—-10 days in and it’s coming apart! I guess they just are not what they used to be. The mesh pocket could be a design flaw. None of the others had that.
