Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant design for chores Utility or chore jackets that have tough canvas exteriors are usually quite heavy and bulky. But in this one, the exterior is super tough, but with the 60/40 cotton/nylon shell it is definitely lighter. Then LLBean uses super lightweight but super warm Primaloft insulation. I have Primaloft insulation in hiking and fishing jackets, but had not seen it before in a utility jacket. Besides light weight, the other great thing about Primaloft is one doesn’t overheat in it like some bulkier insulations. This is now my favorite outdoor chore jacket for fall and early spring in temps down into the thirties, but comfortable even at 60 degrees. I have a medium that has room to move, but is not baggy at all. I’m 6 feet and 175 pounds. I could also see someone getting this jacket to wear into town for a more rugged look, and a very durable exterior.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sizing is off The sizing is wild. Im 5'8 175. The small i cant move my arms in (with the extra stiching on the upper shoulder wasnt there) but i could camp in a medium. Everything else at LL i wear a medium but i would need three base layers and 20 pounds to fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it, roomy and warmer than you think Love this jacket. Great build quality, aside from one of the zipper pulls unraveling on me. Snaps and zippers all feel substantial. Should last quite a number of years. The sizing is a roomy enough for a flannel or sweater layer but is a wee bit big without. It's a bit warmer than you might think. I've worn this in light snow with a lightweight hoodie and was plenty warm. Overall, great jacket. Would buy again without hesitation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Undeniably Cool Bought this as a gift for my Dad. A direct quote from him, which I think is as righteous a testament as you can get: “I've been wearing the jacket/coat you gave me for Christmas just about everywhere I go. It fits perfectly, is quite warm in the cold wind, and it has a cool look factor that is undeniable.”
