Rated 3 out of 5 by Coldendarque from Old style was better I had to throw out my old LL Bean anorak, 2 layers of Polar Tech with a windproof membrane between, chest pocket, loonng pit zips and a hood, with a long below-the-hips length. It was great for all day outside, hiking with the dog, sitting in bleachers for the Battle of the Bands, etc. I loved it! After about 20 years the membrane and the fleece layers separated. Wanted to replace it with another from LL Bean, but this version in not as warm, not wind proof, has no chest pocket, nor pit zips and it’s shorter. Pretty disappointed but I guess that’s par for the course these days. I’ll donate this one and move on to another maker.Sad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Niad from Excellent Product My husband and I both purchased these for each other for Christmas and we absolutely love , love , love this jacket , I’ve been looking for a jacket for years to wear comfortably with a hoodie or a sweater and this fits so nice everywhere, even on the shoulders and arms, it’s warm and cozy but not too hot , and still feels light at the same time , it is water resistant which it nice on yucky snowy days where it’s just damp and dries quickly, remember it’s not a rain coat,,it’s a water resistant jacket, and does exactly what it’s supposed to, I got a small in the mauve color and the full zipper and it fits perfect , thank again LL BEAN for an amazing product

Rated 5 out of 5 by MLxfitter from fantastic I bought this jacket for an upcoming trip to Scotland in May 2019. I needed something for in between seasons that would keep me dry for the wet weather that Scotland is famous for. Little did I know at the time of purchase, North Carolina would have a visit from Hurricane Michael. I wore my new jacket to work that night and it kept me completely dry during my walk from the job parking lot to the building. Warmth wasn't an issue since it was still summer during that time, but I can tell it will serve that purpose as well. The colors are beautiful, fresh and modern and it's not to heavy. Overall, I am pleased with this jacket and would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kayellshopper from I love this jacket Winter in the Pacific Northwest is rainy and raw, typically in the 40s. I bought this because it seemed like the right amount of insulation, as well a good enough amount of rain resistance. I wore it last night to a soccer game over a long-sleeved shirt and a flannel vest and it was *perfect*. I love the pockets, I love the color. I'm hoping it will comfortably fit over a very heavy wool sweater, but if not, I'll just use a down vest. I ordered the large and the extra large and kept the large-- that extra large hung off me like a tent. The shoulders were wide, the sleeves were way too long. This is unusual for Bean stuff and me so I was glad to have ordered both sizes as a trial.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kate from Fantastic Pullover for Variety of Weather I went in and bought this jacket because I was looking for something that was both down/warm and also water resistant for all the fall rain we've been having this year. I wanted something lose enough that I could pull over a thick sweater, so the size is perfect. This coat has a synch at the bottom to keep out drafts. It also has a large zipper at the top to either zip up or unzip to let in air. This zipper also makes it very easy to get the coat on and off over my head even when wearing a scarf and hat. Lovely jacket that always surprises me with its warmth given how thin (not bulky) it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ACDC from Excellent Wore this jacket on a trip to Niagara Falls in April, and it was perfect! I stayed dry and cozy the entire time, despite the fact that it was non stop rain and mist. THe hood fits well, and love that it zips high up for extra coverage from the rain. Love the colors and the details. Two heads up, first order a size down, they run large, I could fit 3 layers under my size small. Second is my one complaint, they have a cute string accent on the zippers, but comes off easily, I already lost mine. Not a big deal, but a shame as they were nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrandiM from Did the Job! I brought this with me over the weekend to an outdoor concert. We got one of those lovely deep south torrential downpours right as we were headed out. This jacket kept me dry and warm. When the rain passed my shirt underneath was totally dry. Add to boot (pun intended) that I had my bean boots to go along with the jacket and I was good to go. I am seriously thinking of getting the zip up unlined version of this because I like it so much! Another great product built to last by LL Bean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ashley from Great jack....butttt I love this pullover but I had it a mere 2 weeks and the stuffing started coming out of it. It came out a little at a time. Looks like little fuzzy pieces of cotton that were attracted to the coat but if you pull them off, it pulls additional cotton out of the coat. Spoke with customer service about the issue and she stated that it does happen from time to time with their coats but they would be happy to replace it with a label to ship back the other one that is “defective”. Will update once I have received the new one.
