Rated 5 out of 5 by LKae from Travel Perfect I'm leaving for South Africa soon, and traveling very light. Meaning I am taking just a carryon for 10 days (Ladies, it can be done!). These pants are VERY lightweight, but fit perfectly, and look great. I am overweight - so I normally wear a size 16W... the sizing charts for LLBean cannot be better, IMO. The pants not only fit, they are lightweight, the color I chose, AND make me look like I've lost 5lbs. When you are overweight, this concept is appealing even if you are proud of your curves. Originally, I thought the price was hefty, but then when I researched other types of clothing like this - the price is right. Highly recommended.

Rated 2 out of 5 by VaMom11 from Love the fit and features, but the fabric .... I wanted some lightweight quick dry pants, shorts and zip off pants for summer activities and the hot weather. I liked the zippered, abundant pockets and beltloops on these pants (both features are hard to find on women's pants these days) so I bought some. Unfortunately after wearing the pants/shorts once or twice they developed snags and roughed up spots and I did not even go hiking in them! They are not durable and do not think they would hold up to hiking/camping. I have been a long time LLB customer, I am extremely disappointed in this product. Use a better fabric and you would have a winning design for practical outdoor women!

Rated 5 out of 5 by NettieNettle from great...but not for everything If you're going off the beaten path/trail (especially anywhere with nettles or thorns), then these may not be for you. I bought them for work, where they lasted all of one day. My job involves walking through blackberry thickets and stands of stinging nettle: the nettle burned me through the pants, and the thorns tore them to ribbons. I'm giving them 5 stars because they fit wonderfully, had great mobility, were flattering to boot, and are good for what they're designed for, which is hiking! The zippered back pockets were also super handy. Side note: LL bean gave a full refund for my torn up pants, so if you're on the fence.. I say buy them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DancingCat21 from Perfect! I was helping my sister shop for clothes, but when I saw these pants, I had to try them on. They are very lightweight. The waist fits perfectly - somehow being comfortable even when I'm very bloated, but still staying in place when I'm not. Plus, the waist band is very soft on the inside, so it feels nice against my skin. They hang very nicely and look nice enough for a restaurant where I wouldn't want to wear shorts. Best part really are the pockets, though - my iPhone 8 fits easily in the back zippered pocket or decently in the front hip pocket. Also, 2 smallish cargo zip pockets large enough for a small wallet, cash, even a sanitary napkin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by campingkat from Bought a second pair! I purchased a pair in granite last year. I usually roll the pant legs as these only come in regular and I am 5' 2". Nice, light weight fabric for hot days. The pants snagged, but that did not stop me from purchasing a second pair in sandstone #I think I might have been happier with olive green.# I had to enlarge the buttonhole on one of the tabs #the button would NOT fit through the existing buttonhole#. Size 6 is a little large in the waist while somewhat snug in the thigh. The thigh loosens up after washing and wearing a few times. I would be reluctant to purchase these if I did not have a few L.L. Bean coupons to lower the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Plussizepantless from Can’t live without these pants! Help me find more I work in an extremely hot and humid environment during the summer. (Section Manager In factory). I need to be comfortable yet professional looking. These pants have saved me! I own 2 of each color and wear them exclusively. An added bonus, I roll up the pant legs and wear them in my non work hours also - working in the yard, biking, going on vacation. These are the most versatile pair of pants I’ve ever owned. I tell everyone about them!! The only negative is that I’ve lost weight and went to order pants in my new size today, but they are no longer available in plus sizes. I’m crushed! I have no pants for the summer!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by gardenmum from Perfect Work Pants! I recently participated in a Habitat for Humanity Global Village build and took these pants, along with a couple of other pairs. I found myself washing these out every day and hanging them over the shower curtain to dry. I literally wore them every day at the build because out of all of the pants that I brought, these were by far the best. They are light weight, comfortable (extremely!), and durable. It was very hot during the build but I was cool in these. They are breathable, and dry quickly, and they wash up like new. If you could see them now, after being covered with dirt, cement bits, clay and everything else, you'd never know I even wore them. I'll be back for more!

Rated 4 out of 5 by GrannyBiker from Still nice but WARNING - they changed the fit I bought two pairs of these pants in spring 2012, wore them for extended travel and all through the year. Love them. Light weight to pack in my bike-bag. So I ordered another pair in March 2013 so I'd have plenty of these beloved pants. But surprise!! They changed the fit, made them much tighter, trying to make these casual pants more groovy and sexy I guess. The 2012 size 10's fit me just fine and I can get into the 2013 size 10, but don't care for skin-tight travel pants. I had to exchange for size 12 in the 2013 fit. Unless you like pants that are very tight, order a size up from last year.
