Rated 4 out of 5 by LLBeanieWeanie from Love the style but not the skinny fit I love the lightweight material and the extra pockets. They're perfect crossover casual/play pants. But I don't like the low waist and tight thighs. In fact, the tightness of the thighs make the zipper pocket on the left leg pretty useless. I wish Bean offered them in 2 different fits like they do their jeans: natural- or comfort-fit and regular waist for those of us who don't like the feeling that our crack is showing when we bend over; and the modern low-waist, skinnier fit that appeals to younger people. If the fit were right, these are pants I would buy in every color. The fit doesn't appeal to me but if you're young and skinny, you'll love 'em.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RWP344 from Excellent outdoors, indoors, around town Pants feel excellent, are rugged, and look good with a blazer for casual night out...whatever, they are ready to go. Size is as described (though wish they made a 29" length), and there is plenty of room in the legs without being baggy. They dry quickly, whether that is air drying after a wash or if caught in the rain. In the heat, they are not as hot or sticky as 100% cotton. The cotton/nylon blend has a smooth though rugged feel to them and the gusseted crotch makes climbing and sitting easy. The rivets are smooth and do not hurt the hand and the waist button is metal and riveted, as in never coming off. Buy them...you'll wear them all the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MountainMike1 from Great pants Great pants for hiking or business casual. Excellent fit and very comfortable yet very rugged. I hike a lot but also work outside and need business casual clothes and these work for both. Only criticisms are the cell phone pocket on the right. The iPhone 8 barely fits without a case and you can’t seal the velcro. Probably wouldn’t fit with an otter box case. Make it a little bigger and put a zipper there instead of Velcro. I use the zipper pocket on the left because of this. The cell phone pocket is key these days and I don’t buy pants that don’t have them. This is what keeps me from giving them 5 stars. Could use another belt loop on the back too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HighlandMike from My Favorites These are my absolute favorite pants. The fit is great, fairly trim and not floppy or baggy. Those with a heavier body build than me may find them a bit tight. I have tried many different brands of pants of this style and I found them all to be too loose- until I found these. I now have 4 pairs, one in each color. The fabric is comfortable and seems like it will be very durable. Two things that would make them perfect: Make the "cargo pocket about 1/2 inch deeper so the velcro closure will fasten with my iphone 7 in the pocket. The other would be to add a couple more belt loops. Oh,yeah, and add a couple of other colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Smelt from Great fit and shaaahp looking! I bought these after they caught my eye while strolling through the flagship store in Freeport and they have quickly become one of my favorites. I'm 37, 155 lbs, and 5'9" and they fit me just the way I like. I would liken the fit to Carhartt canvas duck work pants. The front pockets are nice and deep and the zippered side pocket is perfect for a cell phone. They are casual enough for everyday, around town use and also dress up well enough that my wife let's me wear them on date night. I even wore them to a country wedding at a farm recently! I like them so much I'm getting them in the other color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by travelingagainsoon from Great looking pants - but... Bought these for my DH early 2015. He wears them often, and they fit and look really nice. The right side pocket fits an Iphone 5 but not anything bigger. The left pocket zips up and will fit a small notebook or other items. The rear pockets have a flap and velcro closed. The downside - not really a deal breaker - he has the grey pants. And any drop of water stands out like a sore thumb. So if he washes his hands and then wipes them on his pants - the water spots are obvious and don't dry for several minutes. It doesn't bother him much. But it is still unsightly to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Postes from Great Quality Hiking Pants I've worn these about three or four hiking trips, and absolutely love the fit and feel. It's lightweight, deep pockets, dries very quickly, and has great color options. I love that the side pockets are more discrete than bulging like on cargo pants. You can tell just by the construction and fabric it's a quality pair of pants for the outdoors. The only issue I found was that the 34" inseam length is actually longer than listed, and the pants are fairly relaxed fit, not standard. Of course you do not want slim or tight fit, but these are pretty generously baggy. I was surprised they were not offered in a 33" inseam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vinosaur from Perfect Outdoor Pants I now own 3 pair of these pants. I wear LL Bean LL Chinos to work every day and thought I would give these a shot. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. They fit more closely than the Chinos and that was a surprise, but they are not tight. The canvas is tough and comfortable. They have sewn-in "articulated" knee pleats which is a nice touch. I don't care for the Velcro, but that is not a deal breaker. Back pocket snaps would be preferred by me. The right side leg pocket is great place to carry my iPhone 8. Fits perfectly. I did remove the Velcro patch so as not to have to mess with it each time I retrieved my phone.
