Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Not Up To Standards Really disappointed in the overall quality of this purchase. Putting your arms in the coat to put it on always pulls the inside material along requiring you to have to push it back up into the sleeve. Really really aggravating!! Certainly far from LL Bean standards. Recommend that you think twice before purchasing this item. For the record, this is the first time I have been so disappointed in the quality of LL Bean products, but am noticing that the overall quality on their clothing is going down while the prices are going up. Makes you wonder, as a family business, who’s watching the store.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by mid20sProfessional from Great quality The coat fits great. I have several different LL Bean jackets. This is my first down winter jacket. It's warm enough for MN winters. As always, I am pleasantly surprised by how well the tall sizes fit. I went out on a limb and picked the orange and green color scheme. Can't stop getting compliments on it! This jacket is definitely worth it, especially considering it's half the price of trendier brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dana from Classic Down I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He has many good quality jackets, parkas, etc. but is always cold in our Northeastern winters. He says this is his favorite jacket and absolutely loves it. It is a prettier color than pictured.

Rated 2 out of 5 by GetUrProductRite from The Down was Underfilled I bought both the black and "colorblock" (tan/orange) versions of this coat (XL-Tall). I wore both in similar conditions on back-to-back days for a week or two and noticed the "colorblock" version was less warm. Keep in mind that these are the same coat, same size, same price, same temperature rating, ..different outer shell color. I doubted myself. So I laid out both coats side by side on the bed and started looking at the fill/loft of the down. The "colorblock" version had baffles on the back that were meagerly filled with down compared to black version. I have had other down coats; I've run them through washing machines, dryers etc. I do not mean that the down was clumped or un-evenly distributed. I mean there was clearly less down in the baffles of the "colorblock" version of this coat. There were sections of baffles on the back of the coat where I couldn't detect much meaningful fill in the baffle. I am hard-pressed to believe that it was made correctly. On the other hand, the black version seemed to have a uniform fill throughout all of the baffles on the back and the arms. The black version met the 15 degF rating. The "colorblock" version did not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Midwesterner from Extremely disappointed in the quality Extremely disappointed in the quality. I love everything about this coat, the materials used, colors, the fit, the price, and the warmth. After using this code for only around two months, the seatbelt out of all things in my car have caused my left sleeve to fray and to become worn! I cannot believe how cheap this coat is. And this is after not buying an LLB in product ever in my life. When growing up, are used to wear everything LL Bean because my parents knew that it would last. And it did. We used to wrestle around outside, play basketball, Go hiking, play hide and seek, and do everything outside and none of my clothing was this week. I cannot believe the material with Trey after this short of a time when rubbing against my seatbelt. I’ve never had any coat do this and I’ve had this car for 10 years roughly. Maybe other LL Bean products are OK, but stay away from this coat if you want it to not work tattered after a couple of months of use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by StealYourFace from Super High Quality, Super Warm, Looks Great! exceptional jacket! It’s so warm. Sleeve length is great for my 38/39 inch arms. Classic look and colors means I’ll be wearing this jacket for the next ten years. I am a middle aged dad, so keep that in mind with regards to my perception of fashion cycles and trends.
