Rated 5 out of 5 by JordanBlake from Wonderful retro The colorway looks even better in person. I like that the jacket pulls in a variety of colors pulling from throwback retro colors. The bit of a pattern above the front pocket also adds to the look with an extra level of detail. I really like how lightweight the jacket is as I'd wear it in some light rain situations. The jacket won't add much warmth but I can see adding a light layer below it for a bit of warmth. Something I wasn't expecting were the pockets for the hands in the front similar to a hoodie front pocket. I really like this touch. Only slight complaint is the hood is rather large on me. However, this isn't a bad thing as it will do a good job of keeping rain off me and my glasses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TheEcologyGuy from Great 3 Season Jacket Comfortable and Lightweight. I love the color scheme. Most effective use for this jacket will be as a 3 season windbreaker. If I need to improve its water resistance I plan on using a NIKWAX product as the jacket is definitely water resistant and not water proof. Most important note is they run large. On average across retail I wear a medium, however a Small worked best for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John from Honestly the best jacket in existence Utility: This thing is the perfect every day jacket; wind resistant, yet BREATHABLE, rain resistant enough as is, better with a coat of Nikwax. Roo pocket is awesome, so is the useable zippered roo/packing pouch. Fit: I got the tall for sleeve length (monkey arms), and am happy with it. The hood stays on your head without the need to zip all the way up, even in a stiff breeze. Possibly overlooked, but as a guy that tends to run hot, it’s much appreciated.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bowhunk from This anorak a little too close to an ano-wreck ... As a loyal and very happy customer of Bean’s for well over 30 years, I am loathe to complain or find fault; but I’m afraid I must, in the case of this item. Regrettably, I can only rate it for a couple stars. My main complaints are that it is not lined at all; and while the colors are attractive, the material is quite thin and unsubstantial. Despite the construction, which seems fine, the result is flimsy in looks and feel. You can literally see through the fabric. I don’t know the weight of the fabric in terms of ounces; but it’s very light, indeed. Perhaps an OK choice for some people in certain situations; but its lack of functional qualities led me to send it back -- like it was on a long rubber band ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by littleunh from good layer This clothing piece is a lightweight layer for repelling wind and for fighting a mist. I have yet to subject it to a noteworthy rain. The fit and feel are excellent, plus the front pockets, particularly the zippered one, very functional. The front zipper allows adjustment to changing temperatures, as does the hood. A heavy denim shirt might provide as much warmth but it would lack the versatility and not look as good as this pullover.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KatEhwa from Nice Jacket, Not Waterproof Excellent color and pattern. Fit was a little smaller than expected, especially considering I ordered and XXL tall and usually wear a regular large, but usually I order up for things to be baggy, and I'm glad I did. However, I unfortunately discovered in a rain storm in Florida that the arms are not waterproof. The body is, the hood is, and manages to successfully cover my big head, but the arms are not water proof. I hope this is resolved in some way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sgtmegull from Mountain Classic Anorak Review I received my first Mountain Classic Anorak on Christmas Day, 1995. I am still wearing it today. I have purchased several others over the years, and I like all of them. They are an absolute necessity out here on the Colorado Front Range. As long as you continue to make them, I will continue to buy them. I would like to see a GoreTex version with underarm vents, a back vent, and a removable hood available in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scott from Field tested well After 30 years of using the original anorek, I bought a new edition for an upgrade in style and materials. The colors are exactly as shown on the internet. The front pocket is a huge asset for storing wallet, cell phone or other items that you don't want to lose. I wore out on a river cruise and the anorek enabled me to sit on the deck for a two hour April journey with just a polartec vest underneath. Overall, I am very satisfied though I have not tested the "water resistant " feature.
