Rated 5 out of 5 by tominco from Excellent Since receiving this shirt jac, my son has had several occasions to wear it. Our weather has been all over the place during the past month so, this shirt has been used in several different ways. On absolutely frigid days, this shirt, teamed with a t-shirt or turtleneck has provided extra warmth around the house without turning up the thermostat. On warmer, sunny days this has been the perfect outer layer for walking across a Colorado campus in January. Typical, excellent, L.L. Bean quality combined with comfort and versatility make this shirt jac a winner for my 20 year old son.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Joel from Sleeves too long Love the jacket (I have two). However, I need an extra large regular size for a comfortable fit in the body, but the sleeves are way too long (even though I have a long arm — 35˝ on a bespoke shirt) — perhaps because the sleeve and shoulder join is much too low. So I've had to take the jackets to a tailor to have the sleeves shortened considerably — loosing almost all of the cuff slit in the process — which makes it more difficult to roll up the sleeves which I like to do — but easier and less expensive for the tailor than shortening and re-insetting the sleeves at the the shoulder. I'd like to get another Kahtadin shirt-jac in a color that I don't have, but also would like not to have to get it tailored to fit properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ryan from Mustard not Wheat I like the button aspect of this fleece, but I find myself never wearing it. The color described as wheat is more of a mustard. Which is kinda unattractive and doesn't match with hardly anything. I was hoping for a darker brown or tan shade. But this product doesn't exist in any store locations to try on : ( Wish they had it in more colors and at least had photos of people wearing it in shades other than just blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nance from Fleece Jac I ordered a XLarge Tall for my Significant Other. He LOVES the shirt and I can't get it off him. It is a great buy for the price. Thinking of getting another in a different color so he has 2.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lennell from Extra Long Sleeves Such a disappointment. This is a very nice shirt jac. Looks sharp.Unfortunately the sleeves are more than 2 inches too long and go down to my first knuckle.. I have found this to be an issue in other Bean outerwear. These sleeves can’t be rolled up due to design . I’m returning it as there is no way that I can comfortably wear this

Rated 5 out of 5 by Buzz from Warm and comfortable I’ve been wearing this heavyweight fleece lined shirt for three weeks now, and it feels light comfortable and warm. Getting used to the snaps, which are a little quicker than buttons. Shirt is long enough that you can tuck it into pants, and it will stay tucked in all day. Sleeves are maybe a half inch long, but I like that in a warm winter shirt. Like that you can lift the collar up on a cold or windy day, and it will cover your whole neck and keep it warm. Comes out of the dryer wrinkle free, and after wearing for 2 or 3 days, the arms are wrinkled a bit from bending your arms all day, but the front and back of the shirt are still wrinkle free, so that the shirt still looks nice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sedd from Not Bad I'm still deciding whether to keep this or not. Fits true to size, but slightly long on the sleeves. It's a thick flannel, so it'll keep you warm. My biggest complaint is the advertised "green" color is actually more like forest or hunter green as opposed to the advertised "pine green." To add to the confusion, the pictured color is more like sage green, which I liked and that prompted me to purchase it. The actual forest green color was darker than I wanted.
