Rated 5 out of 5 by SteveK317 from At first OK, then excellent Fortunately, before I ordered these slippers, I read a review that pointed out that initially they are tight but after a couple of weeks, they mold to your foot. That description was precisely what occurred for me. These slippers are superb - very comfortable and they truly mold to my feet yet are not tight. The slippers are quite substantial and very well made. They are more like house shoes rather than slippers. I have been wearing these slippers every day for six months. I probably will buy another pair long before these are worn out because of my concern that they may be discontinued, and I don't want to miss out on wearing them. I strongly recommend them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by bobepass from Wore out fast I have had at least ten pairs of these slippers over many years. (might even be 15 or 20 pairs) The latest pair that I have has worn out substantially faster than the ones I have had in the past. I have always known that the flannel lining wears out faster than I would like but with this pair the leather lace on one slipper fell apart and the flannel wore out literally in one month. I admit I wear these slippers EVERY day for many hours but...I am finally for the first time in many years considering buying something which wears longer than these. I only received these slippers last Christmas and they are already toast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NICKSMAKINGALIST from CONFUSED COLOR NAME OR PICTURE The slipper, similar to all of the slippers that I have purchased from LL Bean in prior years is well made and comfortable, I was disappointed in the color of the slipper that I received. The actual color of the slipper that I received was dark brown, and it matches the pictured brown color shown. I slelected the Acorn color based upon the catalog and Internet pictures. The packing slip stated the Acorn color. The pictured Acorn color in both the catalog and Internet is lighter than the pictured brown color. Either the color names are mismatched with the slipper pictures shown or the picture of the lighter-colored slipper is incorrect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Seablue from LLBean: Pls. glue in a thin leather heel pad Beautiful moc/slippers with one major downfall: the flannel inside wears out quickly. I've never gotten these wet or even worn them to the mailbox yet the flannel has worn away at the heel. I would think this is a unique situation but I bought the identical pair years ago and within months gave them to Goodwill because the flannel at the heel and toe area was gone. I'm clueless as to why LL Bean (absolutely my favorite clothing company) doesn't glue a thin leather heel pad over the flannel. If that were the case, these would be a 5 star hands down. Note: I bought these in late December, two months ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Seablue from Great value but flannel could be better These are a great value for leather, well-made slippers. They molded to my feet in days, making them incredibly comfortable. I take away one star because the flannel lining clearly won't hold up as well as the overall slipper (this is what happened with an earlier pair). Luckily I had the thin inserts from a worn out pair of LL Bean shoes that I put in these slippers and that should minimize wear on the flannel. It would be nice if LL Bean provided at least the option of adding a thin heel or full insert because, based on my experience and so many reviews I read, the flannel simply can't hold up to the slippers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lizardbreath from Made the ol' guy smile. My husband had a pair of these for about 5 years and wore them constantly. I noticed that they were looking quite worn so for fathers day I ordered him a new pair. They arrived a week before the big day and the very next day his old ones blew up. Needless to say he received his fathers day present early. He has Parkinsons and because of a shuffling gate has a hard time finding shoes that don't make his toes hurt. The soft flannel inside keeps his feet from sliding forward and bruising the end of his toes. The inside outside sole is great and they are nice enough looking that he can wear them out and about. I just ordered him another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by capon from Great All Around House Slipper I'm currently on my second pair of these slippers. I've had these for more than 3 years because they're not in my order history. They're great. I normally wear size 10 but I recall they were a bit too loose so I exchanged them at the time for a 9. The 9's were really tight but after a 3-4 week "break-in" period of wearing them in small time increments, they formed well and fit perfectly. The length was always good but they were tight. So now the old shoes are looking a bit tattered and the linings have worn away at the heals which is a sign that it's time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GDubster from Fantastic Slippers I love this slipper! It's my second pair. I would have given them a 5 star rating, but went lower because of my first pair, not this pair. The flannel liner will wear out way sooner than the exterior. My original pair still looks great on the outside and I still wear them, but the interior flannel is just worn and torn. I purchased the color Acorn color. NOTE: This color is darker than the photo online. LLBean sent me another pair, they were lighter in color, so I kept them. Instead of sending the orginal pair back, I kept them...paid for them of course and gave them to my son. I will continue to buy these slippers as long as they make them.
