Rated 5 out of 5 by Zoeybeagle from Worth the price Have always used old carpet remnants placed between vehicles in the garage to help contain the grunge on footwear before coming in the house. Penny wise and pound foolishness. Trashed the carpet and Purchased this long, wide Waterhog runner recently. What a wise purchase! As with all the other Waterhogs we own, this dark grey runner is excellent at trapping dirt and water, even on the dogs’ paws. It vacuums easily, and can be hosed off occasionally. With season changes, we take all the waterhogs to the car wash for a “power wash.” They look new and never wear out! So pleased to have spent the $$ for a trusted product from LLBean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jenpca from Waterhogs not just for water I purchased several waterhog mats. The main purpose was to protect my wood floors from my dogs' paws bringing in all sorts of debris from outside and scratching up the floor with their toenails as they run around excitedly while I am getting ready to take them out (they always know somehow). Had the mats about 2 months now and they are great. They stay in place (for the most part) and are easy to clean up. Everyday dirt doesn't show much due to the texture. The largest mat stays in place completely. Smaller (2x3) and the stair treads move slightly, but not enough to cause a danger of anyone slipping or falling. This is in a house with 2 adults, 2 teens and two huge (50 - 90lb) puppies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Charlotte37 from Waited too long Hi, I wanted one of these for so long and finally decided to get one and am so happy with it. I bought my son and daughter-in-law one and they love theirs too. It is, by my humble income, kinda expensive but it will be the last one I buy and will probably will it to one of my kids. The quality is excellent and exactly what I needed by my door to capture the winter's yuky slop that can come in on the winter boots and shoes this time of year. My regret is I didn't get it sooner when I had three little boys who loved to play outside in all weather and came in with half of it on their shoes and boots. Mary

Rated 4 out of 5 by JeniMae from Does the job, but... I love the terracotta color in the laundry room, and it has a purpose which it does well. The criticism I have is in regard to the pattern, which is not consistent. Considering the premium one pays for a good quality mat, I'd expect a nice pattern throughout. Unfortunately, there is a weird area in the little squares that creates a noticeable line in the mat. If it was in a prominent place in the house, I would request an exchange. However, since it's out of view from visitors, I can overlook this imperfection and hope for the best if I order another one for the doorway in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pitbullluv from Cut for stair treads Great product! I wanted waterhog mats for treads on my stairway, but the only ones available were too small for my stairs. I bought one of these mats (2'11" x 7'1") for my landing, and also bought a second one for my stairs. I cut it with scissors, and I only did the stairs leading up from the landing. It works great. I got 7 treads out of this size mat, which was just what I needed. They look great, and stay in place with 3 dogs and 2 humans walking on them all day long. They also do a great job of trapping all the mud and water to come off 12 dog paws during a wet Oregon winter. Thanks, L.L.Bean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ZZDC4 from Best indoor/outdoor rug I own a few of the waterhog mats in different sizes and colors (red, blue, and brown) and love them. I have one outside at my front door. It is so rugged and holds up to the snow and rain. It's been outside for a year or so and still looks brand new. I have a larger red one at my back door (inside) and it has held up well to my two dogs and my cat, plus the regular wear and tear of humans. The rugs clean very easily. I vacuum the inside ones and hose the outside one. I love that they are able to be hosed off when my dogs track in mud. Great quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from tough as nails, and good-looking We've used WaterHog mats at our house for years, including at the edge of a south-facing open front porch. In up-state NY, that means heavy sun exposure all year long, intense heat build-up in the summer, and whatever rain and snow blow in on it. We've never seen any sign of failure or deterioration. WaterHogs are heavy and grippy, so they stay put well. They protect the wooden porch floor paint from wear at its most heavily travelled point. The darkest colors do show dirt, and things like pine needles and fine pet hair can be hard to dislodge, unless you take a stiff brush to them. For that reason, I now stick to medium tones, but these are great products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Momma16 from Great rug! I absolutely LOVE this rug! I have a long hallway that is very slippery when wet (the tile sucks) and my husband 15 month old daughter and I track in a lot of wet and dirty stuff! I measured the area and was worried that this rug would look silly in my entrance. When I got it, we laid it out immediately and it fits perfectly. We have the Charcoal and it looks nice while performing perfectly. No more tripping hazards either since we use to have 2 cheap rugs in the hallway that lifted over time. This one stays put, does not move around and really does look great! I must get more and if you are worried about the price tag, don't! It is beyond worth what you pay! I love L.L.Bean!
