Rated 5 out of 5 by SRoberts from Lovely sheets I don't know if I have lower standards for bedding...and have no idea why anyone would give these sheets 1 star. I was somewhat hesitant to purchase due to some of the poor reviews, but I decided to give them a try and am not disappointed. I wanted to have one set of sheets that I use in warm weather, a single set that will last for years. The sunwashed pintuck sheets are very soft yet "sturdy," so I think I will be as pleased in 20 years as I am right now. Generous size for my king-size bed. I bought white, and they look very classy with my black and white quilt. A pleased customer who hopes to replace them with a similar product from LL Bean in 20++ years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by knittingfool from Wonderful sheets I bought a set of these in white a couple of months ago and have been very happy with them: The well-sewn elastic goes all the way around the fitted sheet, which is a very generous depth, and the fabric is substantial yet feels cool and smooth to the touch. I've washed and used them and love them. I didn't think that sheets like these were available any longer ... what a great find. If not overdried and removed immediately from the dryer at the end of a cycle, they don't wrinkle. If you're super picky, it will only take a brief touch up iron to make the pillowcases perfect. These will last for years. I'm getting another set for the guest room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by QuiltBakeMom from Lovely My mom asked for new pink pillowcases for Christmas, and the hunt was on. No one sells lovely old-fashioned plain pink pillowcases, so I hunted for embellished white or cream ones. When I discovered these, I was delighted. I ordered them and waited to see if they would be acceptable. They were just what I wanted for my mom: excellent quality embellished old-fashioned crisp pillowcases! The pintucks are stitched neatly, and the lace is substantial. When my mom opened her gift, she was SO delighted! She liked them so much, I asked her if she wanted to keep both the white and the cream ones that I had ordered. She very happily accepted both!

Rated 5 out of 5 by NewHaven from Exceeded expectations! This year, I became tired of wearing through sheets so quickly, and decided to invest in a really high quality set of sheets. I am new to words like "percale" and "sateen" but did my homework and LLBean sheets came up again and again as top rated. I decided to take the plunge and see how they are. We've had them for less than a week, but I already love them. They feel crisp and have a great fresh feel, but I was really surprised that they are also warmer than most of our previous sheets, too, which is a huge plus for me, as someone who is always cold. I am eager to see how they hold up after many washings, but am pleasantly satisfied with them already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HayesllBeanshopper from SIMPLY THE VERY BEST! I purchased 3 sets of these beautiful sheets. Just the right amount of trim to really make the bed look special. They remind me of the sheets my Aunty Pollie used in her home. She made the most beautiful filet crochet trims to really add a special touch. The percale sheeting used in this style is crisp & feels great against the skin. They launder well with no shrinkage. The pillow cases are longer than most sheet sets sold today so they leave a nice end overlap. I put them on the clothes line to dry year round. This is the only way to get that scent that cannot be duplicated! I would have purchased a 4th set but they were sold out!

Rated 4 out of 5 by OnlineTchr from More yellow than cream I love these sheets and ordered them in both the white and cream for different size beds in my home. They are so pretty and remind me of sheets my grandmother had many years ago. My only complaint is that the cream is quite yellow. I ordered extra pillow cases at the same time, and they are also yellow, so it wasn't just one dye lot. I laundered the sheets and there was no fading of the color, though that may happen over time. Anyway, it is a small complaint, but I do wish the color were closer to the photo on the website. Otherwise, perfect, but I do wish I had just gone with two sets of white instead.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DoodleDandy from Just Okay I fell in love with the pintuck detail and it is well done. Unfortunately I am not crazy about the oversized “fitted” sheet, fitted being the operative word. My mattress and mattress pad measure a good 12 inches high. To achieve a flat surface I have to tuck the fitted sheet at least 10 to 12 inches under the mattress. Thus every morning when making my bed I have to lift the mattress and retuck. My back does not appreciate that. Also the material comes out of the dryer looking pretty wrinkled despite my use of anti wrinkle dryer sheets. Steam Ironing the pillow cases Improves their appearance, but doesn’t get rid of all wrinkles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by STU1958 from beautiful sheets but... Overall I love these sheets.I bought them in part, because I bought the bedskirt a while back and I am slowly replacing some of my older sheet sets. However, as I expected they really are more of a very pale yellow than a cream color. But I already knew that from the reviews and from my bedskirt. The other issue I have with them is that they are very big, which is actually quite unusual these days. I guess better big than skimpy. Admittedly, I have an older, thinner mattress, but if I didn't know better I'd say they were mis-marked. I think they might almost fit a king sized mattress - both the fitted and flat sheet. Actually the standard pillowcases are also quite large.
