Natural and Clean
After a month with a new microfiber comforter, which caused me to sweat and to sneeze, I knew I had to go back to natural fibers. I have slept well every night since putting the Organic Down Comforter on my bed with Bean's Sunwashed Percale rustic blue comforter cover. I live in The Woodlands, Texas,and expect this will be good year round. Currently I use a fitted sheet and the duvet cover. If it gets cold this winter, I'll add a flannel flat sheet. Because it hangs down amply at the foot and on each side of the bed, it can feel a bit weighty. Before I get in bed, I fold it under itself at the foot so that it is not weighted down (see photo). The "pocket" formed keeps it warm in the foot area and the comforter feels light.

Shell made in China
I purchased this comforter for my sons full size bed. The actual tag on the comforter says 'shell made in China' . Why is this information not listed on your website? No where does it state that the shell is made in China on llbean.com. I purposely spent the extra money to buy a product that is organic and made in the USA. Also, the tags that are attached to the comforter only say '100% cotton'. The only place 'organic' is noted is on the bag that the comforter comes in and my packing slip.

Tag on comforter says materials from China but babe in USA. Also does not mention organic anywhere except on the bag it came in like the other reviewer mentioned.
Size advertised on site is if 2 inches. Online says 96"x98" but tag on item days 98"x98". This discovered after I custom ordered a duvet cover for this comforter. (I bought a queen, but the review features wouldn't let me see it)
Overall it is nice and comfy but not confident with it's origins, if it's healthy and organic and hyperallergenic.

Just right
I bought this in a full size to go on my queen-size platform bed. I didn't want it long on the sides. It fits just right. The fabric is crisp, not a sateen feel, which is also what I wanted. The cotton quality is about the same as the sun washed pintuck sheets, which I have in both white and cream.
Very pleased with my LL Bean bedding purchases.

Snuggle Down
The main reason I purchased this Queen down comforter is because I am allergic to polyester. It is a fine, but expensive, substitute in that it holds the warmth. The color is off white. Some of us use comforters without the cumbersome task of putting a slip bag cover of any kind on it. I would have preferred white, but this was not an option. I have not washed the comforter and worried about the down bunching up when dried - will try my clothesline first. Still the comforter is AOK and appreciated during the winter months.
