Really nice shoe. Slightly better looking than Oboz Sawtooth Low Dry. Oboz makes a fantastic shoe. Very good quality. Comfortable, rugged, stylish, durable. I wear Oboz Dry low shoes in winter and ventilated version in summer every day as my primary footwear.

Great shoes!
GREAT SHOES! I have terrible knees and shoes with good support and soles are critical for me. I got these to wear at work and they have been fabulous- over a month in. I also have a pair of their boots for walking/hiking with my dogs. Great brand with great products

Amazingly comfortable.
Husband loves these and says they are the most supportive hikers he’s ever worn. Has to be the bridger line tho… the other ones aren’t quite as supportive. He has pronated feet and these hold everything in place.

Oboz needs to improve their quality control
The quality of this hiking shoe has dramatically eroded. While providing excellent support- increasingly the shoe squeaks when I walk on trails and well as hard surfaces. The leather interface with the vibrato rubber sole and head separately with very little use in tough terrains. Have worn the shoe for less than 6 months and am tired of the noise and water penetration

Perfect day hiking shoe
These were the perfect alternative to my bulky heavier hiking boots for my twice annual trip to Acadia National Park. Recommended by an associate in one of the Bean retail stores, these shoes were extremely comfortable and supportive. They exceeded my expectations and I am really appreciative of the recommendation.

Before the Comments, I've spent over 40 years Hiking up and down all over New England.
And have worn quite a few Hikers and shoes.
My Hikers of Choice are my Asolos.
So, I was looking for a Low Hiker for next trip to Vermont.
No Rigorous Hiking, mostly hills and paths.
I went to LL Bean, to find something. The Clerk was great, by the way, and what you should expect from LLBean. I looked at a pair of Oboz......They looked like well made $169. Boots. Tried a few sizes on, found my size, walked around, and out I went.
Obviously as most of you path seekers know, wear your new hikers for a while before you trek out in the middle of nowhere.
Well I did...I really wanted to like these Oboz......Here's the prob.
Rear Heel slippage. To the point wear...you know a blister is a coming....and the darn things were so tight around the top of my foot, that you could read the size on my skin.....ok not really, but when I took them off after wearing for a few hours, the imprint was indented on my foot. No they weren't tied too tight, did you read the beginning of this review? I am not a shoe designer, nor would I know how to design a shoe.
But whatever it is, too much cushion near the heal, not enough support for the ankle??
I dunno!
Going to Vermont this weekend, and I know there is Outdoor type stores there.
I'll update this review when I find the hikers that work for me....Thank you!

2nd Pair of Rugged Comfort Oboz
2nd Pair of these. 1st one many miles in Glacier NP & Maine. Time for another pair bc they are comfortable, rugged and have leather as part of construction. Lugs are very sturdy in rough terrain. Also super stable with good support for arch.

Sizing info for 12/13
Getting to the nitty gritty on sizing. I wear a 12 in most shoes and boots. I wear 12B (narrow) in Redwing work boots, 12 in Merrill shoes/boots and mostly every other piece of footwear but a 13 medium in these Oboz also a 13 in Altra running shoes fwiw. These 13s fit like a 12.5 in Merrills or a 12 in Redwings. These 13 Oboz Bridger lows are narrow for the size which I very much appreciate.
Construction quality is superb. Ive always wanted a pair and thanks to a gift certificate received at Christmas, the dream is a reality. We shall see how long-term results go but overall, the quality of materials is top shelf. No regrets so far.

The best hiking shoes you will ever own
The Oboz hiking shoes are by far the best hiking and walking shoe on the market. This is only shoe I own where, right out of the box, it is ready for a long walk. Comfortable, comfortable, comfortable - from someone who has major problems with shoes fitting, giving me blisters, and wearing your feet in all the wrong places. Oboz is the answer to all those other shoe problems.

Great fit. Great durability so far.
I had bought a pair of Sawtooth X Low shoes earlier this year, but they didn't stand up very well to backpacking and challenging hikes. I replaced them with the Bridgers and have been much happier. Same great fit with the wide toebox, plus much more durable. The Bridgers definitely have a thicker sole and are generally beefier. They grip well on wet, rocky hikes in The Whites.
