Quilted waterproof mattress pad
I bought 2 of them and am very happy with them. They washed and dryed fast and easy. Fit the mattress Perfectly. They are not hot to sleep on. I Highly recommend this product.

This mattress pad (X-long) fits well on a hospital bed and contributes to ease of use and comfort of the user. Plenty of wrap-around secures it in place. well stitched quilting and end-seams. Sufficient padding .

It's decent
I have never had a bad product from LL Bean - given that, I feel biased towards whatever I purchase from them.
So... I will say that the mattress cover is a bit loose - bunches up a bit under the sheet. But not uncomfortably so.
And I will say it does add to the noise factor of the bed. Without it, the bed was completely silent when I or my husband got up. Now, if one of us gets up, the other wakes up. It's not super loud, it's just that we're both light sleepers.
However - we wanted a waterproof mattress pad. And I can't imagine there are waterproof mattress pads that are silent? There has to be some plastic in them right?
So I'm kinda neutral on this. It'd be nice if it were more fitted. It'd be nice if it were quieter. But it's LL Bean!

This mattress pad is by far the best pad I have ever purchased anywhere. This has comfort, good quality, excellent sizing and I know I never will never purchase a mattress pad from anywhere else.

Short sided
I ordered two, one for a full size bed and one for a queen size bed.
This product doesn't fit the width of the mattress top. I used the queen on my full size bed and it fit fine.
The queen size is over 4 inches short across the top of the mattress. Maybe a king size will fit my queen.
I like this product except the sizes fall short across the width and a bit short on the length too.

Good on bed; nuisance in wash
Nice quality, but I wish it fit my 9" mattress more snugly. A real pain when it comes to washing, however. Instructions say to wash & dry in commercial size machines, but website didn't mention this. In home washer, pad retains excessive moisture if it spins with moisture barrier facing out. Then in dryer it rolls itself into a cylinder, the center of which doesn't dry. You have to unroll and restart it at least twice to get it dry. Wish I'd bought one of the more expensive ones that isn't waterproof.

Great quality
This is my second LL Bean waterproof mattress cover. I was a little nervous about buying this one given some of the concerns brought up in other reviews regarding it being noisy to sleep on. However, I've had no trouble with noise at all. The elastic is much more robust than on the one I bought several years ago, so stays in place much better. Fits perfectly, no issues with a pillowtop mattress. I'd definitely buy another one.

Water Proof
I washed it right out of the box before using it and it came out of the dryer looking very nice. It fits the queen sized bed in the guest room very well. It lays flat without lumps or gathering and appears to be of very high quality. I hope we never have to test it for it's water-proof qualities. I am thinking about replacing the one on my bed with another one of these it looks that good.

Not for everyone
These mattress pads received generally positive reviews and for many with very young children and animals that sleep with them they probably are OK. For those like my husband and myself they were exceedingly uncomfortable. TwinXL are hard to find and a 100% cotton top claim swayed me. I should have paid more attention to the neg reviews. Put them on on Fri when our new mattresses arrived. was up most of the nite with sheets sliding on plastic feeling base. Thought to try one more night but removed the pads an hour later and am returning. If you do not expect to wet the bed avoid these pads.

best waterproof pad I've found
My 2 year old son is beginning his transition to his "big boy bed" and I learned during my daughter's transition LLBean makes the best pads out there. They handle the required frequent washings well. I was a little disappointed, however at the elastic that holds the pad to the mattress. The design seems to have changed since I bought them for my daughter and they do not seem as sturdy. However, it still appears of better quality than I have found elsewhere.

Waterproof Mattress Pad
My new bed is one year old this month. I purchased this waterproof pad to protect my mattress against all spills. It covers the old mattress pad I've used for years, so double protection. I did not wash it and I don't hear any noises. I am very satisfied. I like the design of the extension piece that surrounds the sides. It fits snuggly.

I generally love all things from L.L. Bean. Not this guy, however. The mattress pad feels like you're sleeping on a plastic hospital sheet. It is so plastic-like that it squeaks. This one is going back.

A beautiful mattress pad. I purchased it in the king size and it fits the mattress nicely and is easy to work with. It's comfortable to sleep on underneath my warm LL Bean flannel sheets. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great product.

Waterproof mattress pad
Well made, the cotton covering is good quality and does help to keep the waterproof fabric from being uncomfortable. It isn't especially noisy but you definitely know that it isn't your regular type of non waterproof mattress pad. I washed it before using and there was no shrinkage. It fits our deep pocket mattress perfectly. If I didn't feel we needed a pad that absorbed body moisture yet kept it off the mattress itself, I would rather have had a non waterproof pad. I would recommend it. Pricing is good.
