No defense against accidents
I bought this liner earlier this year to protect against accidents and it doesn’t do anything..accidents go right through to the foam mattress which can only be spot cleaned. It’s extremely disappointing.. if you just want a liner to make the cover go on easier, this is great but if you need it to function as a protective liner against accidents, this isn’t the solution.

A Solution to a Problem without buying a new bed
When I adopted a shelter dog, I didn't think she would decide that my older dog's bed was a good place to pee. It was an old bed, so I washed the cover and purchased a new foam filler. Yep, she tried it again, so now I have the new filler, waterproof liner and my old cover, which was fine after washing. No new accidents so far and the old dog is happy with his partly new bed!
It's great to have a product which you know you can buy new parts for.
Also, the liner makes it so much easier to put the cover back on.

Quality liner

Helpful for getting the cover on a foam pad
This makes it so much easier to get the outer cover on the sticky foam pad. Don’t think it would be necessary if you have the non-orthopedic foam insert but probably would be good if the dog lays on it wet or if, as happened to me, a visiting dog lifted its leg on the bed.

Liner protects and makes cover replacement easy
The liner makes slipping in the foam mattress so much easier. I used to have to wrestle it in the cotton duck cover. I like that it is washable and protective of the memory foam mattress we purchased for our 60 lb retriever.

Not waterproof
I bought a new insert for my dog bed and bought this cover to protect it. My dog is older and has occasional accidents. The urine went right through the liner, so although I am washing the cover and liner, the insert smells like pee.

Dog bed liner
This liner cannot be cleaned. I tried washing numerous times and the dog hair gets threaded and stuck to the liner. This product should be replaced as it is not able to be cleaned. I will not purchase another for my two black labs. Love most of all other llbean products. Very disappointed.

Indispensable to keep pet bed sanitary
When buying my Little Man's new bed I did not hesitate to include the protective Pet Bed Liner
and I hope that all of you, considering a new bed for your furry companion, will do the same!
You will want to keep your fur-child's bed immaculately clean, avoiding spills, accidents and other mishaps from ruining the foam of the core of the bed. The protective liner will do that for you beautifully at a small investment, well worth the while. Very easy to put on, completely washable and air-dryable, this liner will keep your baby's bed clean and odor-free and is the reason that year after year that dog bed still will look and smell like new and be enjoyed to the fullest!

Liners are a nice extra!
I got the liners so as to make the beds last longer, but the also make the foam bed MUCH EASIER to put into the covers (which are very sturdy, heavy cloth). My arthritic hands made them well worth the expense.

Not waterproof
I am a loyal LLBean customer and was very disappointed with the mattress cover. I bought them for the dog beds of our senior dog and they did not protect the mattresses. I've washed the covers several times and they don't seem to get clean. I will have to toss the mattresses and the covers because the cover did not protect as expected.

Need to put this on BEFORE you insert the mattress
Be nice if this came before the dog bed. You have to take out the mattress to put the cover on. Fold the mattress over to fit it in. Make sure the rough side is up.

Protect the cushion
These things are wonderful. We have them inside all four LL Bean beds we own. Whether from muddy feet, puppy accidents, or what not, I love knowing the inner cushion is protected.

Did not protect dog bed
Disappointed. Purchased this with a new bed insert for an aging pet with incontinence. It leaked right through and ruined the inner padding. Would not recommend.

These are the best!
I cover my old grandpa dog's bed with this nice soft liner that completely encases the mattress. Then I place a Brosive bed liner over that. Brosives are also soft, very absorbent, come in different sizes, and can be washed 300 times. Then all I have to do is change out the top pads to keep the bed clean knowing that this LL Bean liner is the full protection for the entire mattress under and over. This has made life so much easier for myself and my incontinent dog.

Perfect!
So this exceeded every expectation I ever had: bought some new foam from a local foam place and decided this was the best fit. Two days after putting it on my dog decided to... Relieve herself on it. Thankfully, none went into the foam! The water resistantance is true. One soak/wash and it was back to normal. The only thing my dog hates about it is the sound... I'm on the lookout now for a comforter to put on top. Other than that, definitely recommend! Even for the price. Worth it.

Overall, impressed! Mostly because it was very easy to place the foam dog bed in the bed liner and then into the denim dog bed cover. We have had the foam dog beds for years. Recently replaced the foam of one and purchased this cover to along with it. Putting the cover back on was always something we dreaded, this made it easy and hopefully will keep the foam part clean.

I bought this liner to extend the life of our LLBean dog bed since the fleece cover was getting so thin that dust and debris were getting into the mattress. The liner works great and has definitely extended the life of the bed system. I almost think this liner should come with the dog bed set, since the cover doesn't protect the mattress at all. I appreciate that LLBean put the zipper on the long end of the mattress which makes is super easy to get the liner on and off. It also washes and dries well.
