Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Parka Seems high quality -- have had parka for 3 weeks. Seams and zippers are often mentioned as issues with other brands, NOT with this parka by LL Bean. Parka will be used in weather well below 0F. Size ordered will allow for down puffer vest underlayer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far really happy Needed to replace my trusty Columbia parka and wanted to try LLBean for the first time to see if the hype was worth it. Bought the blue one. I’m 6’3 215lbs and bought large tall. Refreshing to see so many tall options for a change. First thing I noticed is it’s long or appears long. Was unsure at first but it is perfect length. It covers your backside so if you sit down you won’t freeze but surprisingly there’s zero restriction in your movement so you don’t even realize the length. This jacket is very adjustable. I thought it was funny that the mid or waist adjustment was quite high and wasn’t waist height at all. Never seen that before. What I did find though was after I adjusted it how I wanted it didn’t puff up in the chest when I leaned over so I’m now a big fan of the higher “waist” adjustment. There is a pocket for ski goggles inside which is cool. It hasn’t been really cold yet (I’m in Canadian prairies) but I have taken the dog on walks and it’s been comfy, warm, very lightweight and quiet. I ended up buying a couple of other things from LLBean to try because I am very picky and was quite impressed with this jacket. I’ve left the hood on too and you don’t even know it’s there either. The only drawback back is the zipper is a two way and I do find it does catch sometimes when I go to unzip but it just might be me. Overall I found a great replacement for my Columbia and whether it’s skiing snowshoeing or just hiking I am pretty confident I will get many happy years out of this jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Casey Overall a good jacket. Warm and dry. My third Bean jacket and I am always very satisfied with the quality. I have problem with placement of the interior stings and plastic stopper hitting my navel. But that may just be an issue of fit. Also think the front chest pocket should be a little bigger. Won't hold my phone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not all that warm The coat is ok and I am glad it comes in tall sizes, but if this is in the “warmest” category, I won’t be buying any more coats at LLBean. This coat will require a lot of layers underneath. It is much thinner than I would have hoped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Winter Parka This is a great quality parka. Not cumbersome, yet incredibly warm. Nice colors and hood is useful. Wear for being out and about and skiing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Choice This seems like a good coat, although not terribly elegant (I haven't worn it yet in very cold weather). When the coat first arrived I had difficulty with the zipper.
