An L.L.Bean classic, this portable horseshoe set includes four forged-steel horseshoes, two solid-steel stakes and a convenient wooden carrying case.
Our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, was an avid horseshoe player and always kept a set at his hunting and fishing camps. He started selling horseshoes in our 1927 spring catalog, advising our customers to "put a pair of stakes out near your camp or cottage and note how quickly your place becomes popular." Sage advice.

Quality set
Can't review till the snow melts, but horse shoes arrived in neat box to carry easily and quality looks very good. I believe in LLBean quality and service and took advantage of a sale.

Made in the USA Bean's Horseshoes are amazing!!!!
Made of Forged Steel and Made in the USA!!!! I wanted a highly durable set of horseshoes of my own for the backyard and to take on a family trip to play. This set of fine crafted horseshoes come in a sturdy wooden carry case that neatly and carefully stores 4 horseshoes and 2 stakes. I can't wait for summer days throwing horseshoes with the family. Looks like these will hold up and stand the test of time. I would recommend to family and friends. Well worth the money especially for the quality and being made in the USA.

Very Nice, Durable Horseshoe Set
After reviewing similar items, I chose this set because the horseshoes were forged, not cast. Cast horseshoes have a tendency to break even with moderate use. I have used the set extensively since I bought them and the coating has held up nicely. It also comes with a nice case. Despite the seemingly high price, I am happy with my purchase. As with anything you buy today, you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a nice, durable horseshoe set that will last for years to come, this set is an excellent choice.
