Great fabric
My son loves the fabric! He tried it on, smiled, wanted to wear it immediately and said "now I understand why people like leggings if they feel like this all day". Very soft and will keep him warm. We are buying a second pair.

Warm and comfortable baselayer
Bought for my son who overgrown his heavyweight Polartec baselayer. These pants seemed to be thinner than his previous gear, but it came out new pants are really warm, fast drying and comfortable. Very good winter gear. He runs every second day in any weather, and he uses this baselayer for his winter running. Perfect to go with his coverall for the winter day outdoors. And it survives washing machine well

poor quality fabric
The color is beautiful and my daughter loved the top with bottoms. The pants unfortunately got little balls on the outside of the fabric after just one day of wear - they rubbed against her boots and the fabric "pilled" where it rubbed against boots. Previously we bought the midweight pants and both my son and daughter wore those constantly with no issues with the fabric, those were awesome! we were disappinted w the quality of this fabric and will be returning the pants only. so far top has not had an issue

So cozy but too small
I bought these for my thirteen year old daughter. She is full grown but I just can’t stomach paying women’s prices for a kid yet. She wears a women’s medium so I thought a kids size 18 would fit. Nope, too small. So I returned them.

Warmth I Trust
Little kids are so hard to know if they are warm enough! As soon as these expedition weight long johns arrived I knew I could trust them to keep my little guy warm. He's a small 4 year old and the size 4 fit well with room to grow. They fit close enough I can layer them under any of his pants. Glad to have a layer I know will keep him warm that easy to pack in our hike bag on the regular. Now to order the matching top!

My son is a Boy Scout and goes camping in the cold weather. He won’t leave home without his long underwear. He loves these. They are warm but also breathable. He outgrew last years so I purchased the same set again this year In a bigger size. Too bad the largest size is an 18.

Perfect under ski pants
These keep my child warm during some pretty cold days on the slopes in Northern Vermont. I've washed them serveral times and had no problems at all. They do run big. I'll definitly get another year out of them. Overall a great product!

Great cold weather gear!!
Bought this as a base layer to keep my grandson warm when skiing Colorado in low temperatures. They were so soft and comfy that he wanted to be cozied up in them before/after skiing. Fit is accurate. Wash well.

Still can't get them out of these!
Awesome. Soft, stretchy comfy. No tight points anywhere. Fit to size correctly. Kids haven't stopped wearing them since they came in mail. Haven't tested on ski hill yet. But first snow fall sledding day and the kids are happy.

The 2 and 4-yr-old Like them
Our sons do not like wearing bulky snow clothes over their clothes and the eldest seems very particular about his style. The expedition weight pants seem to work and since they are tapered, the larger size (4T) fits well on the 2-yr-old, the bottom of the pants just bunch up slightly. So there is room to grow.

These long johns were the perfect base layer for our trip to the mountains. They were easy to get on and off, soft and warm. They were very true to size and washed well. I ordered 2 pair, one for each kiddo, girl and boy and all was well with both.

Different material, not heavy-weight anymore
I've been buying these for my son for years, and I am very disappointed to find they are completely different material and construction this year. They are not heavy-weight at all. They're the same thickness as the mid-weight, or even thinner. They have a soft finish inside the material, but it is by no means fleece. I depended on these to keep my son warm in the worst cold while skiing. I have to look else where, and will not be buying these again. I bought 2 sets, and am keeping one to serve as a light-weight long underwear. The other I'm returning.

Great product
I bought these for my oldest daughter as a Christmas gift. She loves the outdoors and needed to have something to layer underneath her jeans. Cozy Warm
So happy to have a warmer weight of long underwear back in stock at LL Bean this year and we prefer these to the fleece style from years past. My 12 year old daughter loves these and they have kept her warm through a variety of winter skiing activities during this exceptionally cold winter. Plus she loves the fuzziness inside. Tried to order additional pairs for several of our other girls and all were sold out - please bring these back next year!
