Perfect purchase!
So glad we purchased this glider. I was a bit nervous after reading some reviews about putting it together. However we followed the directions and it came together without a hitch. Everything fit perfectly and we were done within half an hour. We are very happy with this glider. The color is rich and the glide is gentle. Just the thing for our happy hour beside our little pond.

Need better quality control
I would like to give this item a better review because once assembled it is very nice. However, the assembly process was a nightmare due to defective parts and sloppy manufacture.

Using the front porch now!
Love it! It was tricky at times to assemble…needed another person to help once or twice, but I wouldn’t let that discourage one from buying. It’s on the pricy side, so save up bean bucks to help.

Sagging seat
Assembly was moderately involved. A second pair of hands is very helpful. Nice easy glider when finished.
Disappointed:
After a long weekend of use, the seat is warping/sagging. Whereas the rocking chairs have an extra rib across the seat to prevent sagging, the glider does not. It requires at least one or two ribs for better support.

Purchased the glider Nov. 2016. We have loved it over the years! However, the seat has recently started to warp. Pretty disappointed that it is advertised as all weather and that it will not warp.

Nice glider but...
This glider seems sturdy, well-designed, and has a smooth gliding action. All the parts were in the box and it was well packed.
The lost star is due to the fact that we assembled it and then realized the bench was totally askew on the base. After some head scratching we realized that the armrest piece had a bottom section that had come from the factory put together incorrectly in the wrong orientation, thereby rendering the pre-drilled holes asymmetrical. Fortunately it was something I could take apart, flip, and put back together again, but the lost time, frustration, and panic were significant.
Having said that, however, we are definitely enjoying the final product.

Yay! Made in the USA!!
Better than expected! We bought this glider to put on the porch of our new barn. The gray color pops against the barn red siding. My husband said it was easy to assemble. There is ample room for two adults to sit and enjoy the outdoors.
Love the fact that the glider is made from recycled materials and made in the USA!

Difficult Assembly
Some of the holes weren't completely drilled through and many didn't line up until my husband sat on it to put enough force behind it to make them line up. I was ready to send it back and buy elsewhere.

Gliding Through Our Days
This glider is simply fabulous! It is worth every single penny. The "ride" is incredibly smooth, no noise whatsoever and the composition material avoids any possibility of splinters. The construction for us would have been much easier had we placed the shipping box flat while we waited for cooler weather to do the assembly. We were having very hot weather and we stored the box in the garage standing on one end. It seems the seat and/or back warped slightly during that time in a very hot environment. Nevertheless, it only took us a matter of an hour or so, with both my husband and I, coaxing the parts together. This material is seemingly indestructible and we are looking forward to decades of enjoying our Southern California weather "gliding" through our days!
(As you can see from the photo, when we need to stretch out we move to the hammock!)

Great Glider
We love our glider, which was worth the 6 week wait and the somewhat demanding assembly process. As others say, it's most helpful to have two people working on it. An electric drill helps too, though is not essential. When one part was off, my husband called Customer Service and got a new one sent right away -- though in the meantime he found a workaround. Pay attention to the warning on instructions about putting a big section on backwards, which we did; but it was not too hard to do that over. The feeling of smooth ease that comes with sitting on the glider and softly moving back and forth is something special, quite different from a swing or hammock.

Assembling the glider
I haven't completed the assemble. Need to assemble the base and then connect the seat to the base. A second person would be helpful to hold it while I tighten it. It was good advise to tighten all at the end. I am looking forward to sitting on it with my glass of ice cold lemonade. It came at a very busy time this summer. I should be able to finish it when things settle down.

These are rebranded Polywood products
After looking at outdoor furniture manufactured by Polywood, we decided to spend (more than) a few dollars more and purchased from LL Bean instead, hoping for a better quality product. That's why it was so disappointing to receive a replacement part from Polywood after reporting a problem with the product to LL Bean.
