Our heaviest-weight flannel. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. Great Shirt, Could Be Better
The material is wonderful, there’s just too much of it! I’m 5’9”and of medium build and the shirttails are so long and voluminous that they are uncomfortable to tuck into any properly fitting pants (at least for me). I usually wear them untucked but, again, the tails are so long it just looks sloppy. AN UNTUCKED VERSION would be perfect! I love your untucked line and have bought several shirts for different seasons. Please consider adding the chamois shirts (and your wonderful flannel shirts) to your product line!

Comfortable And Warm
Love the shirt and the colors but hate that the sleeves are chimp size although it does have a second button so it doesn't slip over my hands. A size small doesn't need such long sleeves!

quality of the cloth
I have been buying these chamois shirts for many years .
some of the older ones are still heavier and warmer than the ones I purchased this year . these chamois shirts are my go to winter shirts so the older ones have been washed and dried many many times .
cotton prices are at almost all time low adjusted for inflation . clearly l l bean can put as much cotton in the shirts as it used to .

The Chamois shirt is so comfortable and feels great on. Good weight but not with bulk

Not a Chamois
I bought this a couple months ago for Autumn comfort. I just put this shirt on and I'm a little disappointed. Although a nice, basic flannel shirt, it is NOT a heavy wight chamois shirt. I have the original chamois shirts in every color, this is not the same weight. For 85.00 it should be. Would not recommend at current price... maybe 50.00

A True Classic
We have quite a few chamois shirts in my husband’s collection. And these shirts last forever! This apple cinnamon plaid is a favorite-the previous one suffered a mishap after being loved for at least 6 years. The tall size fits his “gorilla” arms just right! The traditional fit is roomy and very comfy.

Great Fit
I am 5-6" 160 lb. female and I bought a medium. I wanted a flannel I could tuck in and was roomy. The womens are cut upwards on the side, so they can't be tucked in. The medium in women's was too small. These do shrink. The sleeves have 2 buttons for a tighter fit. It is very soft. LOVE this shirt.

Soft and comfortable flannel or chamois shirt in plaid. My husbanc wanted something for winter that was warm and had a nice plaid and this was what he wanted. It washed to be even more soft and feels thicker. He loves it, he even bought a second one.

I'm wearing it right now
Just bought several of these chamois shirts to add a little bit more weight to my collection of beloved Bean flannel shirts. These offer the same fit and comfort, just a heavier (but not too heavy or firm) weight of fabric. It's like a midpoint in warmth and comfort between a Bean flannel shirt and a knit sweater, just comfort fit like a flannel.

Hubby likes! Replaces an older one, this is nicer color and softer, although it does seem a bit thinner. Sign of the times I guess. Best thing about bean flannels is that dont wrinkle where you button 'em!
