Our heaviest-weight flannel. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. Long lasting and warm
After about 10 years i have to replace several of my winter shirts. Use them as a jacket and they are plenty warm over a cotton shirt down to about 25 degrees F. Last well and pockets are a bonus

nope. hole in the elbow
I've a long time Beans fan, but have noticed over the years that their flannels always develop holes in the elbows. I lost my years-old Bean chamois, so decided to replace it with this one. I was folding it and noticed a hole developing after less than 2 months! Really disappointed in Beans quality dive.

The real deal
Beautiful and perfect for my hardworking husband. These shirts are awesome. They are soft and warm but not too warm. My husband loves them for winter farm work. They are the real deal. Not that thin faux flannel! We ordered two. They run a slight bit large but with laundering they fit perfectly.

Not the best fit for me
This fabric is thick and soft. Unfortunately the medium fit like an extra large. The shoulders were just a bit large, which led me to send it back, as i don't think a smaller size would fit properly

Love LL Bean's Chamois shirts so I have a few in various patterns, they are so thick and warm and last forever, they are so well made. When Winter comes they are a necessary wardrobe stable! Just wish they came in a few more nice plaid patterns.

This shirt has a beautiful plaid pattern and colors. It serves very well as an overskirt, quite warm, but not too bulky. I haven't laundered it yet, but the instructions were very clear.
