Light weight for its warmth.
As stated in other reviews, the fit is boxy.
I am 5'10", 180lb, 44"chest, 32" waist.
I bought the large regular. It fits great through chest and arms, with room for a thick layer underneath. However, it was too roomy through the waist. After tailoring it was reduced 3" total through the waist and fits perfect.
Cuts the wind. Not a heavy layer. Great layering piece.

The Guide Shirt is a lot warmer than I expected.The combination of wool and PUS forces too small??rimaloft makes for a warm and lighter shirt as well as keeping the price down.
I am 6 feet and weigh 215 pounds; the large shirt (regular) is still big enough to be able to wear a sweater / sweatshirt underneath it. I was very comfortable walking about in the upper 30's while wearing the Guide Shirt and a sweater.

My favorite shirt
10 months in and I love this shirt. It’s a rugged item made to last. It’s a perfect outer layer/jacket for most winter days in here in VA where its cold, but not extremely cold. The lining is very comfortable. I’ve slept in it on colder nights. Looking forward to getting one in another color. If you have big shoulders get a tall size. It was a bit tight in the shoulders at first, but it’s worn in and loosened up a bit on me. Definitely would get a tall size next go round though.

People who said this is true to fit need to face reality that they’re bigger than they see themselves as, and must be wearing xxl in everything else they buy.
I’m an athletic 6 foot 200, I wear large EVERY THING, and I ordered the medium after reading the reviews. Medium is a lose fit with a T-shirt under, and a snug fit with a hoodie under. The sleeves are what some may consider short, but for an outdoor work shirt, I appreciate that. Perspective, my wrist watch is exposed at any position besides hands at sides.
The length of the shirt is good, since this doesn’t have pockets, it’s easy ti get your hands under and into your pockets, pants or hoodie.
I can’t quite wrap my head around the pricing of this shirt, which is my biggest issue. It’s got a very common liner, and is made in Vietnam. I was hoping for something amazing, but it’s really really meh. I’ll wear it for a week and see if I warm up to it. Otherwise it’s going back, as there seems to be better choices of similar materials at a fraction of the cost of this shirt.

Yes, does run a bit large
Ordered this to wear as a jacket for hunting and trapping in northern Maine. Always have loved the green buffalo. I ordered this because they no longer offer green buffalo in the zippered jac-shirt. I wear an XL in an off the rack tee but can can where an xxl tee without it looking oversized. My chest is a 44-46 and a 36 waist. After reading many reviews I ordered this shirt in a large. It fits a tad long in the arms but the rest fits as I want it with room for thermal and a rag wool sweater if needed. Very satisfied.

Too large - but good quality
I’m 6’3” 200 lbs and wear a 44. The Large Regular (not tall) was way too big. It was less a shirt and way more of a jacket, but too bit a jacket at that. I’ll try for a medium. That said, I bought this to replace a vintage version of the same and the quality of the outer is just as high. Will happily buy again to get the right size.

A great autumn shirt.
This reminds me of the type autumn shirt I had when I was younger and doing fall chores on the weekend. I might take it off while cutting wood but by late afternoon I was glad to have it as it protects well as the evening comes on. Excellent shirt for early winter months.

As warm as my parka
This is a great wool overshirt. I saw the photo review of the guy wearing it shoveling so I tried it out and that guy was right - it’s my new go-to shoveling top layer. Seems like it’s just as warm as my parka, but I feel less restriction of movement in this shirt. I like that it is sized generously enough to have a thick flannel underneath and not feel restricted, but it’s not so bulky that it doesn’t look good over just a t-shirt. I’m only taking off a star because it doesn’t have side pockets, which seems crazy but is true.
