Disappointing fit
I wanted to like this Henley because I loved the color (washed orchid heather). However, I found the shirt to be too short and boxy and the fabric kind of thin. Unattractive on my body type.

I love the thickness of the fabric and the colors. My only complaint is that they are a little short. I purposely bought a petite size to get the right length in the sleeve, but the shirt length could be longer.

Did not retain it's shape
I wish LLBEan still had its lifetime warranty because I bought two of these shirts and I am so disappointed in how they have washed and worn. They were always hung to dry. They did not hold their shape and I am about to toss them.

Shrinks alot
I wanted to love this waffle shirt. I loved the dusty purple color. I ordered a size bigger after reading through other reviews. The top was loose but the length was perfect. First wash the top shrunk at least 2 inches in length. I washed in cold water and tumbled to drop wrinkles then hung to dry. Second washing I lost another inch or better. The top just covers the waist of my pants. This is the 2nd top this season that has shrunk like this. Bean you can do better for what your clothes cost.

Super soft, BUT….
I really love this Henley,it is so soft and comfy however, it is a little on the short side. It is 100% cotton so I have air dried it from the very first wash. I gave it three stars because of the length. It is even a struggle to tuck in to your jeans and I feel I’m an average size woman, 138lbs at 5’7 athletic build. I really wanted to purchase another and thought about sizing up but I feel the overall size would be too large at that point. Doesn’t fit like it does on the model on line, it is not that long.

Love the Colors, Design and Fit!
So far this season I have purchased two of these - one in Washed Orchid Heather, the other in Deep Port Heather (the latter to coordinate with my Sunwashed Twill Shirt in Eggplant color, as shown on the picture on L.L. Bean's website). After having experience some shrinkage of waffle-knit Henleys in past years, I chose to go with Regular rather than Petite and also to use air-only setting in the dryer for a few mins and then hang to dry. One feature that I really love about these shirts is the flexibility to button all of the buttons or leave some undone!

Good-looking, comfortable waffle knit Henley
I have several of these waffle knit Henleys, today I was wearing a greenish one and somebody in a store stopped me and commended what a nice color and shirt it was . I told her where to buy these, because they are so comfortable, light weight, durable and and for our fall and winter weather just right. I wear a fleece "Bean" vest over it on cold days in mid winter. I have really enjoyed these shirts, and like to wear a polo shirt under it, to layer and it looks good together. In fact after a hot summer I was looking forward to start wearing my favorite Henleys again. They are very flattering and good looking.
I wear a medium petite, weigh 120lbs, they are roomy to wear, but not too big, they don't shrink, wash well and I hang them to dry. It is my Bean's best buy and fun to wear shirt. I am a mid-ninety senior.

Shrinks too much
Very soft and comfy, but it shrank so much after just one wash with cold water and air drying that it now seems to be a mid-rift baring top! This is not the first time this has happened with L.L. Bean clothes unfortunately.

A bit small and itchy
I like the thickness of the fabric, but it is either a bit too small for me or the fabric irritates my sensitive skin. I,am not as happy with it, but a larger size might have worked better for me with this particular garment.
