Think twice before purchasing this swim bottom!
At first I was thrilled with this swim bottom, but after hand washing it and carefully hanging it out to dry I wasn’t happy. The waist band got twisted. Won’t lay flat.

The elastic waistband twists inside the “casing” and is VERY uncomfortable! NOT acceptable!

Disappointing
The elastic waistband is not sewn in and keeps twisting. It's annoying and bunches up. I also don't like that these are more highcut than I expected them to be. I was not comfortable wearing them. I would not purchase these again.

Should have taken the advice of reviews
I bought this swimwear bottom for a recent trip to the beach. As several reviewers mentioned, the wide band at the top rolled the first time I wore it. It was very annoying and needed to be straightened each and every time I wore it. I will be returning it.
As a side note, I am usually very happy with LLBean clothing and have many tankinis and bottoms that have lasted for years. Please consider fixing this problem.

elastic waist twists
Wore these for the first time yesterday and was very disappointed. The elastic in the waist band does not stay flat and in place. It twists constantly and needs to be flattened. Also appears to run large in my opinion. If you are in between sizes order down.

Great coverage for active mermaids!
I really like these bottoms because I'm active in the water. I swim, snorkel, paddleboard, etc in the water and I don't want to have to be concerned with coverage. They fit well and are vert comfortable. I'm really hoping the vibrant color is resistant to pool water, sea water fading.

Mostly good but elastic waistband doesn't stay put
I love LL Bean products and these swim bottoms are mostly good. My problem is with the waistband. The elastic is wide, and it ends up folding up inside the fabric -- sometimes in a weird twisted way. I wonder if I'd like the bottoms more if the elastic were sewed into the fabric differently.

Waistband curls up.
Bottom fits very well and is comfortable. The wasteband did curl up the first time I wore the bottom, which was disappointing.. I was able to straighten it out easly, but that can get annoying. Material is a bit heavier than most other brands and stays wet a long time.

Soft and comfortable!
I tried several types of swimwear bottoms at an LL Bean store to go with a top that I had bought last year. The BeanSport bottom was really soft, the waistline was actually at my waist, and they were tight enough to stay up but not so tight that I was uncomfortable in them. The leg height was also perfect for me. They are so soft and comfortable! I would definitely recommend these.

Big gaps
Fits fine EXCEPT for the gaping elastic in the butt area. I will try to add more elastic to remedy the problem but wish you could fix this area, as I see more women have also had the same problem.
