I’d Buy Them Again
These truly are ankle jeans, and that’s a win for a 5’2 person! Stretchy, sturdy, and comfortable.

Not for me
Disliked new ankle length. Donated 2 pairs to charity. We used to call them “flood pants”!

GOOD QUALITY AND FIT WELL.
these jeans are my new favorites! fit me perfectly! move with you; no falling down, just enough stretch to be very comfortable and not too tight, even in the waistband. wash well with no shrinkage that i could see with cold and low heat dry. not too flappy or wide legged.not too much of a relaxed fit but not too tight. sturdy, good fabric. perfect length...right to the bottom of my ankles. i'm 5ft. 4in. true to size. i wear a regular length. i got both colors for the different seasons. i wish they would make the charcoal color again. love that color also!

Great fit
Jeans are heavier denim, well made and a great fit too. I love them but wish the back pockets were not so prominent.

Inconsistent fit / inseam info
These jeans are instantly comfortable. I wanted to love them, but after ordering 3 different sizes/inseams, they did not work for me. LLBean fall print catalog (couple walking dog on beach w/ friend behind them) initially listed inseams as: Petite 28", Regular 30" and Med. Tall 32". I measured my fave jeans which were 30.5" and so I ordered a 6 Regular. WAY too short. Inseam was 28". Huh? Then, I noticed the size information online lists them as 26", 28" and 30" respectively. Thereafter, I ordered a 6 Medium Tall. The inseam was good at 30" but were too baggy in hips and legs. Finally, I ordered a 4 Medium Tall. Fit was perfect, not baggy, but now the 30" inseam was too short. What an exercise in futility. In my opinion, the inseam measurements as listed in catalog are more appropriate for jeans and LLBean should endeavor to offer these jeans with those inseams. 30" is more like regular and 32" is more like Medium Tall. I've never had to order a Medium Tall in my life. All 3 pair I ordered were Harbor Wash and none of them had a strong odor as mentioned in some reviews, which sound like it could be the Deep Marine Wash.

Only trust the regular length
Dark wash size 6 regular length ones I bought in store were phenomenal. I run and do a lot of athletic things so finding a pair of jeans without massive gapping is a miracle. So much so I waited until the light wash in size 6 Medium tall were available. Supposed to be a 30 inch inseam. It measures 29. Same size, but its like I am swimming in the butt and thighs. Guess I will be sticking to only buying what I can try on in the store first. Bummer because LL bean was a brand I was hoping to slowly replace my wardrobe of fast fashion basics with. But it seems they are no better than any of the other brands these days.
