Buttons on blue shirt stood out too much
I got the Neptune blue shirt but couldn't get past how dark the buttons were and how much that much contrast made them the focal points on a solid shirt. I liked the fabric and fit, but returned it.

Heavy material
I bought the bronze shirt. I like the color and the style of these shirts, but was surprised to see how thick and heavy the material is, and a bit stiff for flannel. Not sure if it will soften up with repeated laundering but willing to try it.

Substantial shirt
I was surprised by the weight of the material, and how heavy it was. Contrary to another review I saw, the shirt did shrink some (thank goodness) after its first wash. It's still pretty "roomy" in the body and arms, but fits perfectly in the shoulders.

Warmth is it's forte!
Nicely warm and that is great. Wish they offered it in colors like dark Grey or black or brown or navy. Also kinda wish the pockets weren't slanted. But the warmth beats the drawbacks. I got a small and am 5'4" and 105 pounds. Fits good.

I try to add one of these in a new color each year. Only 3 colors were available when I ordered this one recently, and it is very close to the Admiral Blue one I purchased two or three years ago. Nevertheless, I love it! Since blue is my favorite color, I can't have too much of it; and, it matches my eyes!!

Great, Versatile Shirt
I really like this shirt. The dark purple serves as almost a neutral color that I can wear with any other colors. I wear a size petite. I have very short arms. This shirt is nearly a perfect fit even though I do have to do one fold of the cuffs on the sleeves. It is the perfect weight for wearing over another shirt in this fall season. I'll wear a heavier shirt under it this winter.

Sad Dull Eggplant — the shirt is not the color shown. It is a very dull, almost faded looking color without any magenta in the mix. Good quality material, but an off-dye batch.

Please make these in tall!
What a shame that almost everything you make for men comes in a tall, but for women? Only a handful of styles. Not much of a nod to clothing all bodies and a missed stream of revenue to be sure!

Great color and fabric weight and softness
Love color and quality. Ordered regular medium relaxed fit. Little snug cuz I’m used to sweats all the time. But fits nicely. Would have been too big in large size. Like to wear Henley under it and roll up chamois cuffs so not too tight and leave bottom button open. Nice color so got 2.

Awesome shirt, heavyweight, slimming
I love this shirt, the style is slimming, its comforable and the plum color is gorgeous. I originally bought the petite large, but it was roomy and boxy (maybe good for an over shirt). The petite medium fit more like the model in the picture, so it's more slimming. I would buy again, but don't like the other colors.

Chamois Shirt — Eggplant (off color)
My order was lost due to UPS delivering it to the wrong address. The replacement was sent through USPS (which I recommend), but the order was not trackable. It did, however, show up on time. But the color is a lot different from the photo in the ad. It is a dull purple eggplant, lacking the magenta-purple shown in the add, so it is disappointing for me since it is not a color that is good with my skin tones. But, I will keep it rather than go through any further delays when the color shown is not actually what I would get.

Love the shirt - wish there were more colors
Great shirt, heavy enough, fits well, it's my new friend. Nicer than a sweatshirt but just as comfy. I got the purple one, great color. I would get a second but I don't care for the electric blue or baby poo brown. How about navy? or forest green? or even red?

I just received this in the Neptune blue and it is a beautiful color.Anyone with blue eyes should have this! I am very pleased with the weight of this fabric. It is just like the chamois shirts from years ago. I will need to order another color and please add more colors. This can be worn as either a shirt or shirt-jacket.

Beautiful Color & Perfect Winter Weight
I purchased this shirt in Berry, size Large. For reference, I normally wear a size 12 in tops and a 14 in bottoms. L.L. Bean’s size Large fits me very well (5’3”, 170 lbs).
The color is absolutely beautiful, and I love the look of solid-colored flannel shirts—they feel so classy and timeless. This one is definitely more of a heavyweight flannel, but that’s exactly what makes it perfect for cold Midwest winters.
The fit is excellent: it buttons comfortably across the chest and hips without being boxy in the middle. I can wear it alone or layer it over a T-shirt, and both look great. The regular sleeve length is also just right for me. A high-quality piece I’ll enjoy wearing for years.

Perfect Fit, Warmth, and Style
I’m 5'3", 170 lbs, curvy build, and usually wear a size 12 top or Large in LLBean shirts. In the past, I’ve ordered XL in flannel shirts out of fear they’d shrink — but with this shirt, the Large is perfect, even after washing.
This is LLBean’s most heavyweight cotton flannel, yet it’s wonderfully soft and comfortable to wear. I purchased the Eggplant color in Large, and I love that it works as a stand-alone shirt or layered over a t-shirt in the winter.
What I love:
Perfect fit — roomy enough for layering without feeling oversized.
Heavyweight warmth but still soft against the skin.
Solid colors make it feel a little dressier and more versatile than plaid.
The Eggplant shade is a beautiful jewel tone. I’m happy LLBean is adding more cool-toned jewel solid colors for women’s tops instead of just warm tones.
What I wish:
Please offer the same range of solid colors in women’s shirts that you do in men’s styles. I’d buy more if there were more jewel-tone options! I would like to have more solid colored flannel shirts in all the basic colors as offered in the Pima cotton T-shirts. I would like Black to be an option in this shirt too.
Overall, this shirt is warm, durable, and stylish enough for casual or slightly dressier wear. A true classic worth owning in multiple colors.
