While many competitors use lesser-quality blends, our yarns are always the real deal. These are authentic ragg wool sweaters, knit from exceptionally soft, premium lambswool in a classic, heritage-inspired rollneck style.
Our sweater is crafted from 100% premium lambswool yarns that are richly textured and noticeably softer than competitors' versions. In fact, it's practically impossible to find other ragg sweaters made without using lesser wool-blend yarns. Each of our ragg wool sweaters is designed stitch by stitch with time-honored styling and details.

Casual yet Stylish
XL Size is spot on. Color (blue) is vibrant. Wool is light-weight but the weave is tight so it keeps you warm without the bulk. The rolled collar & cuffs make for a nice casual look but the sweater can be dressed up with a nice collared shirt underneath. Sweater is a bit itchy (to be expected) but an undershirt remedies that. Very nice sweater with L.L. Bean quality.

This one is a keeper!
My son opened the package, put on the sweater and it is now one of his favorite articles of clothing.
It looks good, holds its shape and is very warm. You can dress it up or wear it to the office or out skiing. Bought the charcoal, size large, body: broad shoulders, 5'11, 165 lbs.

Nice but…fit huge
Nice but…way too big. Got a Large, my usual size. I’m 5’9, 195, 42 in chest, 37 in waist, 33 in arm sleeve. Washed and dried to shrink to fit. Though it shrunk some it got thicker so it’s bulky but I will try again. Should have sized down but too late. It is piling but that’s prob a product of washing/drying. Seems to be good quality otherwise, but I’m not convinced it’s worth the full price (got on sale). Wish there was a store close by I could have tried on/talked to rep about sizing.

Watch out where you will wear this!

Sizing
This is thick and rather loosely woven, and warm. The color (Burgundy) is very saturated. The sizing is way off. I bought a large -- which is my usual size -- and it was cavernous. I exchanged it for a medium, and that also seems too large. It has a lot of ease and isn't designed for people who are trim.

Sizing poor
I don’t like to leave negative reviews, however I’m quite disappointed with the size. I have a 44” chest, large is supposedly 42-44. It fits like an empty bean bag chair. Ridiculously large. Not sure what to do now as I wonder about the other sizes. Will be a spot in the dark.

Nice color. Teal is a color I don’t see often in men’s sweaters. Love the style. My husband looks better in and prefers wearing sweaters without a band at the waist. A straight hem which this sweater has is ideal.

So Good That I got Another
I've had an LL Bean ragg wool sweater that is >many< years old, and which I finally needed to, well, allow to go away. So I got a new one, fully expecting it to be of lesser quality. NOT SO! So I'm now reviewing the second one I've gotten this season, in a different color. These sweaters are a good choice for Denver winters.

Love it - mostly
Love the sweater - I bought it in green - love the roll neck. It also has roll cuffs on the sleeves, which are OK (I usually fold the cuffs back). I'm not as thrilled with the rolled hem on the bottom of the sweater - it just seems like something I should smooth out. A rib knit hem would be better. I'll buy another when the bottom hem has changed.

Love this thing
I was looking for a casual warm sweater that I could throw on for any occasion and this is it. Great fit. I’m 6’2 200lbs and usually like things on the looser side. Took a gamble with a XL as I feel LL Bean is usually larger but it paid off. Fit is great. A little on the boxy side but I’m into it. It’s a little scratchy but I like that in a sweater like this. It’s thick too and those too factors make it feel fairly high end. Haven’t washed it yet so that could change things but as it stands now, I love it.
