Nice Warm Ball Cap. Adjustment Issues However.
Really like the look and feel of this cap. I would recommend L.L.Bean add at least a half to one inch of length to the leather adjustment strap. Anyone with 7-3/4 or larger head size will find the hat adjustment fits, but the tip of the strap is now outside or barely inside the strap pocket. It just doesn't look good and eventually will bend out and away looking worse. The cap is too expensive to have such an unfinished look.

Bad quality from
Sad to see the decline in quality
I’ve had several of these hats in the last 20 years. Great product, high wool count, leather brim.
I received one recently as a gift, less than 50% wool with a cotton brim.
So sad to see the decline in what used to be a quality product.

Wear it every day
I’m really happy with this hat. I am female and do small farm work every morning. I have various ball caps for different weather conditions, but wear a beanie for really cold weather. I realized I needed a visor to shade the sun. The wool blend fabric of this ball cap is warmer, and the visor is nice and deep. I tried a merino ear band under it for the coldest weather and it worked well. The adjustable leather band doesn’t slip. Got the charcoal color.

Not as good as my first hat from LL Bean
Not as good as old one. I bought this to replace my favorite hat and although it appears to be of the same quality it’s asymmetric on my head and looks box like as a-posed to round on top

Why the change? Quality control?
The first wool-blend ball cap I had purchased years ago was excellent, but now things have changed.The hat is now running too large. I also wish the back could be closed in. I don't like the cold air hitting the back of my head. The adjustment strap, to me, is sort of useless.
