Only Wish I Bought These Sooner!
I don't know why I waited to buy these rain pants. For a toddler who likes to get down & dirty, wearing these pants will save me from washing an extra pair of pants every single day. I'll be layering them over his pants on a regular basis on milder days (it's December in New England). The velcro cuff is awesome--allows you to cinch the pants shut at the ankle or over boots or whatever you'd like. LOVE these rain pants!
Note: If you're wavering between sizes, buy big--you can roll 'em up at the waist if need be, and you'll get an extra season out of them. My son is 2, 31 lbs, 35 inches, and I bought the 4T--it doesn't even really seem big.

Must have for rainy weather
Happy with this purchase. My son wears 3T but went with 4T. 3T would have fit, but wanted more than one season out of it so got something slightly bigger. I can roll down the elastic waist and it fits fine. The Velcro cuffs at bottom of eat leg make it easy to tighten over rain boots or tuck inside boots. Light weight and affordable. Good purchase.

Nice quality but needs alterations
As per so many reviews, I have to agree. The pants are awesome to keep your toddler dry from all the puddles and mud they can find, however the non adjustable waist is an issue. The waist band is not very tight and there is no adjustments thus a bit too big around the waist for my average sized 12 month old grandson. Love the adjustable Velcro legs so the pants adjust to height well and keep the weather out. Please LL Bean, fit the waist and you'll have the perfect pants.

good rainpants
These held up well on a crawling toddler. A total must for an outdoor-loving infant who doesn't walk yet. These pants got us happily through the season where it's too wet for jeans but not cold enough for snowpants. I would like there to be some way to cinch the waist though, as sometimes my son would crawl right out of the pants.

Stood up very well to regular use
My daughter used these frequently this past year, as her preschool goes outside for hikes and muddy adventures in almost any weather. They were plenty roomy enough to slip on over her pants, easy for her to put on herself, and kept her pants clean and dry.

Perfect as snowpant covers too!
We ordered the yellow rain pants and used them on top of some fleece pants for a trip to Minnesota in January. It was 20 below and his legs were warm and dry - no snow got in, and the fleece pants underneath were completely dry. I especially appreciated the Velcro bottoms keeping the pants from riding up. I haven't tried them in the rain yet, and not sure how they will feel with nothing under them. The texture is coated nylon, and may not be too comfortable on bare skin. But we will definitely use to keep out the rain.

Great Fit with room to grow
My son is a skinny, no behind or waist 22.5lbs 33.5" @ 20mo. He wears cloth diapers and typically fits a 18mo waist for pants. These pants fit over his sweatpants and cloth diaper (but can keep them on with a disposable diaper too). The adjustable ankle makes it easy to stay up around his wellies or to tuck in. He has room to gain weight and height and they would still work. They are not rubbery like some other brands. They work great at keeping him dry on damp days at the playground or when he decides to sit down in the wet grass or leaves. A little buddy of his borrowed them and he is 35lbs and 34" - the waist sit fit great and both boys could grow 2-4" and the length would be fine with boots. I'm hoping to skip the 3T and go to a 4T, tucking the extra into his boots.

Perfect for a crawling/just walking toddler!
I purchased these for my crawling/learning to walk 16 month old and they are great! After reading many reviews online, I decided to go with LL Bean's rain pant because of the quality, customer service, and excellent price.
After crawling and sitting in mud and wet grass for over an hour, my little guy's pants were still completely dry underneath the rain pant. They do run a bit big as noted in some of the other reviews, so I ordered the 12-18 month size (my little guy is wearing 18-24 month pants). They are still just a little loose in the waist, but I think that is intentional for warmer layering. I combined them with some Stonz booties for crawlers and he's toasty warm, despite the wet conditions.

Thin pant for summer rain
I have a 1.5 year old that spends a lot of time outside at daycare even on rainy days. These pants are nice and light for the summer weather, and keep her dry. I was happy to find something fit for a petite toddler at only 20 pounds.

Nice Pants
I ordered size 3T for my 2.5 year old daughter. They are big but will hopefully last longer. I ordered the same size jacket and the 3T seems a bit smaller, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this lasts another seaon too. I got her the yellow jacket and pants and she look adorable. I couldn't resist this color!

Perfect for spring
My 14-month old loves to play outside and these have been great this spring for keeping him dry when he plays in the (melting) snow or puddles. The 2T is long and a tad loose, but they'll still fit next year, which is nice. We just tuck the excess material into his boots.

Waterproof, but not cumbersome.
Grandson does not like to wear "puffy" outerware. Discovery Rain Pants allowed me to layer him with insulated underware, his regular jeans, and the Rain Pants. Problem solved . . . he is warm . . . dry

I bought a size 3T in yellow for my two and half year old daughter. The length of the legs were adequate for continued growth plus they was baggy enough to layer clothes underneath for when she wears the pants this fall when the pants alone would be too cold. Discover for yourself!
I LOVE these rain pants as well as the jacket. We have them in every size. My children go to a preschool that requires appropriate outside gear because they spend half their day outside regardless of the weather. We use these pants all the time and the teachers love them too.
We use them when it 's not even raining but the playground is wet or muddy. My daughter is VERY picky with comfort and she loves these pants.

Truly waterproof; great fit!
These are a great fit (plenty of room to grow) on my slim 12-month-old. They are really waterproof (taped seams help) and are light and airy enough to wear as a sun or wind layer on cool or warm (not hot) days. We are avid hikers and all-weather walkers and we needed something really waterproof, rather than the pretend-waterproof jackets you find in most kids'-clothing stores. Great value and looks well-made and sturdy.

These pants are perfection. Really. They allow my kids to play at the playground even on rainy days. They are lightweight, fully waterproof, and they fit well over fleece pants or jeans. We found the fit to be true to size and are even a slight bit roomy, so it is possible that your kid might wear them two years in a row. I would not size up. We have even used these pants layered on top of fleece and long johns for the occasional 2-6 inches of snow we get in the winter. It works just fine. But, if you get a lot of snow, you'd want to get dedicated snow pants with a bib for the little ones.

I love these pants
I discovered these pants when my daughter was a toddler, and now at 6, she still uses these pants to keep her school clothes dry when she is out to play. Very useful when we are camping or want to go to the park and it may be a bit wet on the ground. If you live in a wet/cold/changing climate and you still lead an active outdoor lifestyle, these pants are a must. You won't be disappointed!

Love these!
I have two boys- 2 and 4 who love mud and puddles. These pants have been perfect for yard play this spring! I ordered their usual size and have been able to layer them over their clothes, pulling the elastic legs over their rain boots. Keeps them dry every time- and they put them to the test! Love These!
