Perfect fit. Great for cold winters.
I bought this Men's Commando Sweater, Crewneck in size 2XL, my normal size, to replace an old LL Bean similar sweater that I bought years ago. The fit is perfect, nothing is too long. After all, the sleeves can be folded back. The torso fits fine, too. No issues at all!

Great Commando
This is a great version of a classic style commando sweater. Kept me warm out in extreme winter elements for hours. These sweaters are by design a slim and tight fit, so please keep that in mind and consider your body type before ordering this style. As with a lot of wool there was a slight itch on the arms when only wearing a t-shirt underneath, but after a few wears it goes away and starts to wear in.

Just received mine on Wednesday,Jan 8. Actually came 2 days early. I got the tall because most sweaters only come down to my belt.
The Sweater is nice and heavy,fits well and comes down about 2 inches below my belt. Adds a nice heavy layer.

Outstanding Sweater. Thick, Durable, Warm
This sweater is superb. It fits wonderfully, especially in the tall sizes (body is not too full but sleeves are long), is versatile, and is especially warm. Perfect for cold weather days. (As a note, I am surprised at the reviews that say it is "too warm." Of course it's warm, it's supposed to be. Can't say enough good things about it. Only request is to Bean to not screw it up by trying to cost-cut it.

Quality ok but fit too loose
I fall into the middle of the range for size M for chest size so I got M not expecting the fit around the waist to be way too baggy. When I sit down there’s bunch of folds around my waist. The sleeves are also one inch too long. Shoulder and chest fit fine.

Great mid layer sweater.

The fit and quality of this sweater is very high. My only complaint is that is does not breathe at all. It is very, very hot and it's difficult to wear for any length of time in a regular room temperature environment.

I live in Canada, purchased this as a mid layer for waterfowl hunting. Tried it with a tshirt underneath when it was 7C (44F) outside..I was amazed at how warm this thing is. I didnt feel it was too warm when inside either. It feels heavy and tight fit..just was I was looking for. Somewhat scratchy if worn by itself but my intent was to have a baselayer anyway. I have the waxed cotton upcountry down vest and now I dont even think I would need a parka for late season..I feel toasty outside in close-to freezing temps with this sweater and a vest..I really recommend this sweater. I will probably end up buying another color. Too early for me to judge the durability however.

Sweaters like an old friend!
I've always loved these sweaters! I've long since grown out of them since my first black one to the olive colored one I was issued in the Marines. I've re-bought both colors in the appropriate sizes now, and I'm just as happy with them now as I was then. I wear them with pride!
