Disappointed Christmas Present
My husband purchased this turtle neck for me for Christmas.... I wore it for the first time yesterday. I wore a pullover quarter zip over it & when I took off the quarter zip at the end of the day the right sleeve stitching was totally hanging by a thread. So disappointed as I love my LL Bean clothing. Since all tags have been removed & thrown out, I have no option but to try to fix the VERY terrible craftsmanship of this item.

Tyrannosaurus arms!
Very soft, feels lovely on. However, the arms are way too short for me. I’m always a Reg. M, and the arms fit more like a Petite size. Bought it in black and white and both have the same issue.

QUALITY HAS CHANGED. Terribly disappointed. Been buying these for years. It has been a tried and true staple. No more. Now the fabric is very thin and almost see-through. The turtleneck part was a "cowl" neck by the end of the day. Awful.
C'mon Bean's !! As a FOURTH generation customer, you have really messed up what was an excellent product !! Please up your game.

Material too thin
I love the smooth feel of pima cotton, but the material is much too thin for a winter turtleneck. Wish it could have been as substantial as LL Beans regular cotton turtleneck sweaters.

Bean Quality Turtleneck Top
I recently bought several t-necks from LL Bean and was disappointed that the pima cotton colors turned out to be better for my needs than the supima stretch colors. However, I'm enjoying the ones I kept and particularly like that the 'turtle' can be scrunched instead of folded over and the length is shorter than my older turtleneck tops. Fit is also a bit relaxed instead of fitted or loose.

Major shrinkage
I so wanted to love these turtlenecks. The fabric is fabulous and the fit seemed just right. Maybe the sleeve could have been a tad longer but they don't come in tall. Sadly after washing my Reg M was a Petite S - the sleeves were nearly 3/4 length and the body length gave me about 1" of tuck in length. I gave them to a friend of mine who absolutely loves them and is petite (5'1" and about 100#).

Great turtleneck, terrible tag
I bought a red Pima turtleneck before Christmas. I like it very much EXCEPT for the tag sewn into the seam on the lower left side. The tag is completely integrated into the seam so I cannot completely cut it out without ruining the shirt. But the small bit of tag I cannot remove is VERY irritating to my skin. Makes the shirt almost unbearable to wear. This is an easy design fix. SO FIX IT!!

The sleeves and torso length of this turtle neck are too short. Be aware also that that the fabric is lightweight. On the plus side, the cotton is soft to the point of silky and the colors are great.

Ladies turtlenecks
Not my favorite. I love the ones with actual cuffs on the sleeves. That is what I thought I was getting. It was not. Next time I will pay closer attention. We also need some vibrant colors. Winter is drab enough.

The best turtleneck I've found.
The fabric is really lovely, very comfortable. I move between a size medium and size large in many tops. I opted for the Large in this top. I'm glad I did - it shrunk a bit on the first washing, but I had a bit of extra room so it still fits.

Too small
I’ve worn LL Bean Cotton Turtlenecks for years and have always bought a small size. (I have not gained weight over the years!) I found this one to be too small and am returning it. The fabric and color were fine so I’ve ordered a medium. I’m hoping it’s not too large!

Above L.L. Bean turtlenecks but this one in particular! It’s soft and comfy. The turtleneck stays up, but it’s not so tight that you feel like you’re being strangled. True to L.L. Bean. It is very well-made and lasts like it’s brand new wash after wash.

Switching to the Pima
Nice fit and fabric. I ordered both this one and the original cotton turtleneck I remembered from years ago to compare. I prefer this Pima version. But sizing differs from the original cotton. The Pima is shorter in the sleeves (and no cuff) and shorter in the body
