It does the job! You can't beat the classics.
I've always wanted a pair of these. I wish I cold have gotten them in the prettier colors, but I'm getting ready to move to the Pacific Northwest so I figured I'll get them now in whatever color I can.

Still a winner!
This is my 5th pair of bean boots, so I am a big fan. I got this pair in wide and overall its a mch roomier fit even sizing down as recommended and wearing heavy socks.

When they say order smaller, they mean it
I ignored the advice to pick a smaller size than usual because I was afraid of my hammertoes bumping on top. But the boots really are too big. I'm going to try getting a shearling insole to take up some space.

Love these boots!
Absolutely love these boots! I work at an animal shelter and my feet were always wet (from cleaning kennels or walking dogs in the snow or wet grass). But now they are warm and dry. Super comfortable even for a long shift. Can't recommend these enough.
They are a little tough to get on, but I have a narrow foot and love that they fit snugly. Often Bean shoes are too wide and sloppy for me.

Same Great Boot!
Fit is good with thick socks. The leather is quite stiff, so when lacing tightly, creates hard folds which can get uncomfortable. I'm hoping that with wear, it will soften up. I have treated it with some neetsfoot oil compound which will help too, I hope. VERY well-made, just as those I had more than 40 years ago, and had re-bottomed twice! DURABLE!

Classic
These boots are classics and well made! I’m so glad they come in narrow. I bought the blue. They will require a bit of breaking in.

Supportive, not sweaty!
Best wet weather boots I've ever owned! I got them for a 2-week temp job outside in the mud and rain, and they were supportive for my back, comfortable and waterproof through and through. The leather upper makes them nicely breathable (my feet usually sweat in an all-rubber rain boot), and the purple/teal colorway is super fun! My only complaint is that the soles are not a sticky rubber so you need to be more careful on slippery rocks than in hiking boots (also wore them tidepooling). I'm a solid 8.5, chose 8 in these based on the guidance and they fit well with heavy socks. Overall very pleased–will be wearing these for a long time.

Bean Boots Slay
We are a big bean boot family. These did not disappoint. I’ve been wearing my moms from the 80s and this was my first pair. They are durable, cute, and fit great with any socks.

Best boot’s ever
I love my Bean boots. I had a pair years ago and I’m happy to have them back on my feet. They’re so comfortable and just perfect all around.

Narrow sewn leather opening
The opening of the boot is very narrow. If the tongue could be pulled out to get the foot into the boot they’d be great

Best boots ever but WHY SUCH POOR TRACTION????
These boots are so great in ALMOST every way, but I don't for the life of me know why they haven't improved the traction. I understand they are trying to preserve a classic look but these boots are legitimately dangerous without some sort of added traction like Yak Tracks. I have had these boots for over 10 years and they still look and feel brand new, with the exception of the bottoms. The already poor traction out-of-the-box has now become totally flat and therefore even more slick. Even so, I am a glutton for punishment and adore my Bean Boots even if they make me slip and slide everywhere.

The color makes me smile when wearing them
What's not to love about a Green Bean boot! I'd gone online to buy their red limited edition boot only to find I'd once again missed out on them. In browsing I stumbled upon these and immediately fell in love with the color combo. These boots are a stand out color, so unique, with the same great LL Bean craftsman ship of the regular. Even though it is suggested to order down a size if you wear a half size I ordered UP. I normally wear a 7.5 but I ordered an 8. I wish I had ordered an 8 wide as I do find these Bean boot's regular width to be narrow. I love them so much that when I tried to exchange them for an 8wide and they were sold out I decided to keep them. I have already worn them outside on a recent cold and rainy January day. My feet remained dry and comfortable while walking our dog. The only complaint I have is that I found them hard to pull on at first. They have slowly gotten easier to pull on, over time, but the first month or so was pretty rough. I think once the stiff leather tongue softened up with use is when it became easier to get them on. I love these boots and can't wait to wear them in March when I honor and celebrate my Irish heritage. They may not be the elusive red ones I am still after but these limited edition ones are just as fun and unique. Thank you Bean for this great green and purple boot!

I bought these, hoping I could get them on. I have had multi surgeries on my ankle. The tongue being made in one piece with the boot, made it impossible to get on. I could of wore them if the tongue would of been separate like most boots.
These are being returned.

Dry and comfortable.
Bought these for picky my 22 year old daughter for the Chicago rainy season. She loved them from the get go and recommended to her friends and to me. I finally could afford them for myself and she was right . These boots are beautiful, stylish, and keep me dry in the biggest downpour of the Midwest. Not only that, with thick socks, they are also pretty warm. Highly recommend them.

Wasn't sure about sizing so I went into the store.
I am true 7.5w regular width in Nike Runners, Sorels, Kodiak. I couldn't find a difinitive for sizing on the unlined 8' bean boots, so I went to my local store.
7 fits perfectly with thin or athletic socks.
8 would fir great for extra wiggle room or thick wool socks.
Hope this helps those who don't have a store near by.

Great fitting boot.
Great fit. Then leather tongue is very stiff. Will take several times wearing to soften for a more comfortable boot. I would purchase again.

Bought Boots, walked through German Christmas Mark
Size - read all the feedback, i wear a 7.5 - 8; so i went with the 8. They were perfect with a thick sock! Glad i did not get the extra warm ones - these were prefect. Kept my foot warm & DRY! I wore these everywhere and they were perfect.

Love my Bean Boots!
I love love love my Bean boots! In this cold weather they are the best investment I’ve made, and I wear them all the time. I just have to get some more Bean Ragg Socks. My thick California socks just don’t do the job.
My only concern is that bought a size Wide boot because I have wide feet, but my boots fit wide at the ankles. Any suggestions?
Other than that, I’ve gotten lots of compliments on my nice boots!
