They run big :(
Unfortunately the boots I received were my size but they felt 2 sizes larger than my size on my feet. Definitely size down.

Stiff and awkward
I wanted to love these boots, I really did, but with the way the upper was constructed I couldn't even get my foot into the boot part. The leather was stiff and I couldn't get it out of the way enough to get my foot down into the actual boot even with a shoehorn. It's disappointing. I ordered a wide. They were a nice looking boot.

Great Outdoor Boots
Love these boots! I just moved to Alaska and have been wearing them on outdoor excursions. Very comfortable and great in wet weather. I usually wear a size 7 but bought size 8 which work great with thick socks.

Good horse farm shoes
Good solution for my daughter’s job on a horse farm! She had trouble keeping her feet dry and says the enclosed tongue really helps. It looks like a tongue with laces over top but really is solid and they’re just folds. They are holding up to daily use better than the horsey brands!

Bog Busters
Love them. Perfect for Maine bog land, rain, hiking in wet grasses, etc. Love the look, fits great. They even came in a women's wide! My only dislike is that they're hard to get on. Even so, still glad to have them!

Same but better
Love these boots! The size is consistent with my last pair (which lasted me over 20 years!) and I really like the way the brown laces look from the front with the blue. I was worried it would look too monotonous but the contrast laces really jazz it up. Can't wait till it rains or snows, haha!

Love my Bean boot!
These boots are so versatile, comfortable, and handy. Initially they were a little stiff and hard to get my foot into, but after a few times wearing them, they are great! I can wear them in the mud, the rain, or anywhere! They look great, especially with my customized laces from LL Bean, and they're a lot of fun. GREAT purchase!!

Women's 8" Bean Boot is Marvelous!
I previously owned the 8" Bean boot but my daughter discovered it. So I just bought a second pair. The boot is great which is why I'm buying it again. The fit is good and I can wear it most of the year.

Forever favourite!
I have been saving up for my Bean boots for a while! I was thrilled to catch a great sale and up my spring footwear game. Tired of wet feet. My long, narrow size 10.5 feet are so happy inside my 8” navy and leather lace ups. I wore them all afternoon while trekking around my town and trotting after my toddler on their balance bike! Comfortable, dry feet, room in the toe box. Definitely size down if you’re between sizes. I wore a warm wool sock in my new boots today and my feet were dry and warm when I peeled my boots off after 4 hours outside. Good investment!

Perfect mid weather boot
Extremely comfortable, cute and functional! It's not clunky and doesn't make your foot feel weighted down like my big Sorrel winter boots. I normally wear an 8 and normal width, but after having a baby it's probably closer to an 8.5. I ordered a 7 based on the sizing guides and it was perfect! I selected 'true to size' based off of the sizing recommendations listed by LL bean (meaning, if you go 1 to 1.5 sizes down, it will fit true to size). I have worn them with thick and thin socks, both work and are not too tight. It's a little hard to pull on because the leather is so fresh, but I'm sure that will ease up with time. Overall I am super happy with these! They are perfect for rain, slush, and light snow.

Great Boots
These are great boots. I was happy with the size 8 but could also have been happy with the 7 in the way the foot fits (about an inch of room at the toe in sz 8). I'm usually an 8. The instep is a little tight on the 8 so I'm glad I ultimately went for that size. Hope to get lots of use out of these. Will purchase again.

Still a winner!
This is my 5th pair of bean boots, so I am a big fan. I got this pair in wide and overall its a mch roomier fit even sizing down as recommended and wearing heavy socks.

I ignored the advice to pick a smaller size than usual because I was afraid of my hammertoes bumping on top. But the boots really are too big. I'm going to try getting a shearling insole to take up some space.

Love these boots!
Absolutely love these boots! I work at an animal shelter and my feet were always wet (from cleaning kennels or walking dogs in the snow or wet grass). But now they are warm and dry. Super comfortable even for a long shift. Can't recommend these enough.
They are a little tough to get on, but I have a narrow foot and love that they fit snugly. Often Bean shoes are too wide and sloppy for me.

Same Great Boot!
Fit is good with thick socks. The leather is quite stiff, so when lacing tightly, creates hard folds which can get uncomfortable. I'm hoping that with wear, it will soften up. I have treated it with some neetsfoot oil compound which will help too, I hope. VERY well-made, just as those I had more than 40 years ago, and had re-bottomed twice! DURABLE!
