I love to give the small tote as a baby gift, with child’s name monogrammed on it. I’ve given several and they’ve really used it (for ballet, car rides….). I like to give the bigger one as a wedding gift, with the couple’s last name monogrammed.

Love it.
Good size for about a 2-3 night stay away. If much more than that you might want the XL, which I also bought. But with a book, blow dryer, straightener, swim suit and cover up etc, the Lrg does fill up! Wish there was a little side pocket on the inside but I still love both of bags!

No red trim
I love Boy and Totes! All of them. But I'm sad there was no red trimmed one available! My old ones are all red and I would love to have a set. So I got the all plain canvas.

Not quite historic
I've had an LL Bean canvas tote in the back of my car forever... It's still in pretty good shape but oh-so dirty! So I ordered a new one. It's perfect, but I miss 2 things: I miss the POCKET!!!, and I miss being able to get a Springer Spaniel embroidered on the side. Otherwise... GREAT!

An absolute favorite in our house! This bag is so sturdy and incredibly solid… But super cute at the same time. It’s the bag that keeps on giving & never lets you down! Don’t even hesitate to not purchase it… You can use it going out with friends, as a beach bag, it’s the perfect tennis bag, car catch all to a fabulous closet organizer… Truth it’s great for much much more! Same LLBean quality for over 40 years!
I am still using my LL Bean boat and totes from over 40 years ago but I felt it was time for an updated one and new color. These bags go with us everywhere and also make welcome gifts for lucky people. I highly recommend the large tote for carrying all your items.

Epic design instantly recognizable; wheelies okay!
My 103-year-old wheelchair-bound Mother needed a small bag to hold her knitting in her assisted living community. The small bag she had used had folding wooden legs that didn’t survive getting run-over by wheelchair wheels. In searching for a solution, my wife recalled how much Mom liked LLBean bags 40-50 years ago for toting clothes to the cabin and firewood in from the woodshed. “Get her a small one,” the wife said, “It’ll handle getting run over now and then.” In 3 days, we took the new bag over. Mom was so happy—giddy even—that she almost popped out of her chair! She immediately recognized it, grabbed it, and hugged it with her eyes closed. THANKS for keeping the quality so high all these years. PS, it’s been run over once already. Thin black wheel scuff gives it character!

this was exactly what I was looking for in an everyday bag-- color: natural - size: small - long handles and no zipper top. It's perfect for work and errands- I put the Boat and Tote zippered pouch inside to contain my wallet and other smaller items- fits well with room for a Poland Spring water bottle on side- love that the bag "stands up"

A classic LLbean product- the quality is unsurpassed. I bought this for my grandson to take his rest mat and items to school. I love that is has his name clearly embroidered on it so the teachers know whose it is. This will last from preschool through college and beyond.

I bought the XL with long handles..OMG guys.. my 8 month old Old English Sheepdog can fit in it!! I absolutely love how big it is. VERY sturdy! I plan to but the large when it comes in stock again!
