Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Boots Ever! I've been raving about these boots to everyone! They're precisely what I needed. With our small farm, I'm constantly outdoors, so keeping my feet dry and comfortable is essential. These boots deliver on both fronts! They're incredibly comfortable, allowing me to work outside all day with ease, and they provide excellent protection for my feet. I couldn't ask for a better pair of boots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots! I love this boot! It took a little while for my right ankle to adjust but now they feel great! I wore them in a Canadian snow storm and they were awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These boots are made for walking... It took a week or two of wearing these boots every day before they felt comfortable. The upper edge was stiff and pressed on my ankle. I experimented with socks and my orthopedic inserts. I am now wearing two pairs of socks and everything feels fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I cannot get my foot in the shoe! These boots have a tongue that is stitched down all the way to the top the shoe and does not open wide. I cannot gt my foot into the boot! Sadly returning. Never got my foot in so I cannot answer your questions regarding fit but cannot post until I answer...so bogus information.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boot ever I wear my Bean Boots while doing my yard work. It is so nice to have dry & comfortable feet! Who would have thought a pair of boots would make you happy. Best yet the boots are made in the USA!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sizing is not dependable I really wanted these to work because I need a pair of waterproof boots, most reviews were positive and I have a lot of llbean items that I love. I ordered a size down as suggested and they were too small. Normally a 7.5 and ordered a 7. I would have tried a different style but returning can get expensive! Sizing is undependable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LL Bean boots I've always wanted a pair of these boots and they lived up to all my expectations. They are comfortable, tough and handsome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boot I've had I love this boot. If I could have tried on for sizing, I could have gotten a better fit but since I have no stores in my area, I had to guess size. They are a bit big for me, but work great anyway if I use bulky socks and tighten laces completely. I use them for walking every morning through wet grass and muddy areas.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn’t like the tongues The tongues were angled into the top of my foot and made it quite uncomfortable. I also wound have to wear insoles so I didn’t feel the ground below. I returned them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great quality but … Great quality boot; really wanted to keep them but the tongue kept pressing into my leg, making it painful to wear

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Usual size works only with HEAVYWEIGHT socks I wear a size 10 and that's what I ordered. They fit perfectly with the Bean Boot sock (heavy weight) coupled with a liner. So, logic tells me that if I preferred to wear a lightweight sock, I'd need to size down to a 9.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my boots I purchased The Original L.L.Bean Boot and I absolutely love them. Comfortable, keep my feet dry and look fabulous!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fits good, slippery soles Fit is good with thick socks. The soles, however, are extremely slippery. Having this same boot previously never had a problem and I’m sure I’ll wear once the weather is better. Disappointed that the soles prevent me from wearing them now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What are waiting for?! I am officially the proud owner of bean boots! After reading countless reviews I was skeptical to move forward with my purchase, the thought of having to size down from an 11 to 10 and a possibility the boot may have a defect, these are hand made after all, was enough of a deterrent. Then, the boots went on sale and it seemed like too good of a deal to pass up. These boots are everything I expected and more. I did size down as recommended and the fit is spot on. These are so comfortable to wear in the snow, mud and on trails. I can’t recommend these enough!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just like the old ones, only bigger The boots are a moderate height- adequate for all but the rare snow storm (climate change) in Indiana. The boots are also good for wet, muddy situations. My new boots are just as well made as the pair they replaced (15+ years) which were only replaced because my feet have grown. At first, the front of one boot pushed into my shin, but after bending the leather and wearing the boots for short periods, they are now comfortable. The one thing that was slightly disappointing is the quality of the laces. They seem thinner and wimpy compared to the old shoes’ laces, and the lace tips are not solidly sealed so they may soon start to fray. Overall though, excellent boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific, purchase/great value Sizing recommendation from L.L. Bean was helpful. I normally wear a 9 1/2 and sometimes 10 and the guidelines indicated to size down which was perfect. Quality is everything I remember from my last pair, which I bought many years ago.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Went with the tumbled-leather instead I returned these. I wasn’t a fan of the sewn-in tongue, and the hard collar rubbed uncomfortably. I went with the tumbled leather instead. They were well worth the extra expense. They’re easier to get on/off, and the padded collar doesn’t rub. I typically wear a women’s 9.5W shoe. I’ve found that a size 9 is best for me in Bean boots. The medium (B) width is fine—no need to go with the D. The 9s are a little long, but the 8s are a little short. I wish they came in half sizes. Please always keep Bean boots Made in Maine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed to be broken in but comfortable overall I have never owned L.L. Bean brand clothing or shoes. I have other rain boots but nothing that I could wear with multiple outfits. After several hours of searching, reading reviews, and price points, I decided on these for an international trip (where I don't want to have to pack too many shoes). First, the look and style of these shorter boots was the most appealing. However, I never wanted to sacrifice comfort either. These got overall great reviews on comfort right out of the box. When I opened the box, I was really happy with the look and quality. As I tried them on, I immediately noticed that the leather upper was really tough. The footbed has ample room for my problematic hammer toe. Being a size 6 - 6.5, the size 6 was the right fit. I decided to wear these to work on a rainy day to break them in and will continue to do so until the leather gets a little more pliable. I would also recommend bending them with your hands some to soften up the upper leather. Throughout the day I felt them rubbing on the front part of my ankles. I think I left them too loose and as I tightened them the leather didn't rub as much. The rubbing caused some discomfort but no blisters. Once I take them off, I will continue to bend them to soften the leather a bit in those areas. Overall after wearing them during an 11 hour shift with over 10,000 steps for the day, I am happy with my purchase and feel confident these will be great use on my trip and good rainy day weather shoes. I purchased these during a sale but I am willing to say they are worth the price as good investment rain boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My best winter boots These are the best boots I've ever bought for snow. They are water resistant and buying the next size up means I have enough room for thick socks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots The boots are well made and comfortable. I followed the suggested size chart and bought a size 7. I typically wear a 7 1\2. They fit perfectly, with thick socks.
